The Bunch Celebrate Easter and Get Ready for Camping Season

Wow. Have we been busy the past three weeks.
First things first, we celebrated L's bday with family. She wanted a baby themed party and to go swimming. We took all the kids and their cousins to our gym to swim and play for a couple of hours and then came back for pizza and cake. L loves to cook and always makes her own cakes. This year she made an Oreo cake and dyed the layers blue and pink, in keeping with the baby theme. We played diaper the baby blind folded, which was actually quite funny, and try to figure out what baby food we were eating, most of that was just gross. We had a good time and best of all L was very happy with her party.

T had his pine car derby for boy scouts. This was our first experience with turning a hunk of wood into an actual race car. He got the turtle award, which means his car was the slowest of all the cars to complete all four runs. Yes, we actually had to EARN the slowest car.  A few kids were disqualified, bless their little hearts. However, we have some great ideas for next year.

We were able to go to Medieval Times with the whole family plus my eldest son's girlfriend and her daughter.  It was so fun. The kids, especially T, were really into the sword fights. They serve way too much food though, but I thought ahead and brought plastic containers to bring back leftovers. The leftovers gave us all 2 more meals! I think the price should come down and have them serve half the amount of food! It was super expensive, but we all really enjoyed our night out and it is not often the whole family is able to go stuff together.

The kids enjoyed dying their Easter eggs. They are all so creative and enjoy doing crafty things.  After dying our eggs, we headed to church. We had so many turn out to our church for the first service, we had to go down the street to their alternative site. It was different, but it was still a good service.  I like our church, but sometimes it is just too big. We had 7 services for Easter to accommodate the 10000 members plus guests and at our service, and I am sure others, people were still turned away because of space.
T EARNED the Turtle award for his slow car!

D teaching L to stop on her new bike.

L got the DS game she wanted.

A perfecting the tie dye egg.

Maisy was really interested in why we were playing with food.

She would eat them if we weren't paying attention.

Easter morning, of course the pets have to check out everything.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
