The Bunch Are Holiday Ready

We are still becoming familiar with our new location so our Christmas traditions are having to change a bit this year. Driving around looking at Christmas lights is much harder when everyone is on multiple acres. Also, when you are on a lot of land the displays seem smaller. Our house use to look over done for Christmas and now it looks like we barely have decorated the outside. We went to Ardmore, OK last week to see the Festival of Lights. Oddly my in-laws are about 80 miles away, but Oklahoma is only about 40. This will probably become one of our new traditions. It was really neat and we all enjoyed the displays. It was about a 2 miles drive through exhibit.

My husband has his birthday next week and for the first time I have a ton of things I think he would love so I have planned a whole day of surprises and fun. I hope he enjoys it and will let everyone know what we did next week. He has worked so hard moving and building the fence that he really deserves some fun and relaxation. You know before I make him work some more. ;)

We are enjoying our cold reprieve for the next two days. The temps will be near 80 before we plummet back into the teens. Yes, even in Texas is gets REALLY cold. The blessing of Texas is that is doesn't last more than a few days and then we are back to milder weather. Break out the shorts again because we will spend as much time outdoors as we can before it gets cold again....I really hate the cold.

We are finishing up school this week before Christmas Break and next week we will spend time making Christmas cookies and getting ready to host Christmas Brunch. We are so excited to spend time with everyone!  Merry Christmas!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
