The Bunch Freeze Their Way Through the Arctic Front

Well, we survived the extremely cold weather of the past 3 days. The wind was extremely high and wind chills were in the single digits. Thank goodness it is over and back to shorts weather for the next few days. Today was gorgeous: light winds, blue skies, mid sixties....lovely. The forecast for Christmas is mid seventies and as long as a cold front doesn't come through bringing severe storms, it will be a great day for all the kids to play outside with their cousins.

We celebrated D's birthday and he was very surprised. We started with breakfast at an Old West Cafe, then I surprised him with a massage. Afterwards, we went to eat lunch a mexican restaurant he has wanted to try. Unfortunately, it was closed on Mondays so we instead went home and heated up leftovers and went to have mexican lunch on Tuesday. The final surprise for him was I had gotten tickets to Stars Wars Rogue One. The kids were excited about this as well. I am not even a little bit of a Stars Wars fan so I endured the forever long 2 hour and 13 minute show, but everyone else really seemed to like it. I think what turns me off so bad is that they are all out of order and my OCD nature likes everything neat, orderly, and where it is suppose to go. It bugs me to no end the movies are released out of order.  Save your breathe; I have had it explained several times why it is what it is, but sorry I still think it is stupid...release them in order.

We spent today making Christmas cookies and the girls had a blast. T not so much. His contribution was to cut a couple of sugar cookies and announce he didn't want to do this. He then went out to enjoy the nice weather.  I can't blame him really. After being stuck indoors the past few days, it felt great to be outside.

Don't worry she licked the spoon AFTER we were done.

UH OH! Cookie is in trouble.

T enjoying the nice weather by playing in our backyard.

Yep. We got our dog a coat complete with fur lined hood.

They were so excited to see Star Wars.

He wanted his usual Tres Leches cake.

D about to get his massage...thought it was weird I was dropping him off at someone's house.

The old west cafe made a great breakfast

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
