The Bunch Celebrate Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. No one had volunteered to have anything at their house so I decided we could do Easter dinner at our house. Normally, we have lunch, but this means that do not have time to go to church on Easter Sunday. This year we had the family celebration at our house and I made it dinner instead of lunch so everyone could come after church. It was great! We had a ham and a brisket and lots of yummy sides. We always do our egg hunt first thing on Easter morning, but once the grandparents and extended family get here we have another hunt with everyone. The weather was fantastic and the kids could run around on the property. We missed the eldest, but he had come over the day before to watch L's soccer game. It is kind of far for 2 trips.
Yep. It is early.

The Clan.

First time in 23 years that the cat is not in the Easter basket pic. :(

We are still getting use to having so much space. It is great, but requires a lot of up keep. Mowing, even though we use a  riding mower, takes up over half the day. Using the weedeater is such an overwhelming chore we have only done it twice in the last 6 months! We still have only weeds on the entire 2 acres, but we keep putting weed kill down around the house. We are finally getting some bare spots so hopefully we can sow some seeds, if the birds don't eat them all. Unfortunately, I ran into the corner of the pool table so hard that I had to get a CT scan done on my leg because of all the swelling. Long story severely shortened, I have to "rest" it for at least a month. This means D is pretty much on his own on the yard work and I have an annoying injury that becomes grotesquely swollen and painful if I even attempt to do anything. As many of you know, I do NOT like to sit still so this injury will probably take a couple of months to heal. I am listening about no running, leg weights, or anything that is very strenuous on the quad muscles. Wish me luck!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
