The Bunch Enjoy Thanksgiving and Decorate for Christmas

It's tradition to make gingerbread houses on Thanksgiving Day.

We had a fairly uneventful Thanksgiving this year. D had to work on the actual Thanksgiving this year so the kids and I stuck to our normal routine. We got up and took the day off from school. We enjoy a leisurely breakfast. This year L made Chocolate Muffins. She is turning into quite the little baker and I really enjoy her love of cooking. Mostly because that means I don't have to. After breakfast, in order to feel good about our serious plans to lounge around and eat all day, we did about half an hour of cardio. We then watched the Thanksgiving Parade because is it really Thanksgiving without watching the parade? The girls and I then watched what they wait for all year long to come on........the National Dog Show. I am not sure what they find so fascinating about this , but they love it.  We were disappointed the whippet didn't win. We grilled some steaks and tried not to eat ANY traditional Thanksgiving Day food. We celebrated Thanksgiving on Sunday and had a wonderful time. It was too bad several people were unable to attend. I hope to get a chance to visit with everyone at Christmas.
Not dog show quality, but we think she's adorable.

My wonderful in-laws
Since we were not just back from a month long trip this year and freshly moved, we were able put some real decorations up. Even though our decorations went up on November 30, I still felt like a Grinch because most of the block put up lights on Thanksgiving Day! We wanted to wait until a few days later because our Thanksgiving was on Sunday and we didn't want to have our Christmas Décor up for two parties.
Everyone loves putting up the tree.

My job is to hand out the items for them to put on the tree.

It looks better in the dark.

Cookie is back and having fun each night. This was A's night.

I love the holidays and Christmas Break starts next week. We have big plans on baking cookies, watching Christmas classics, and looking at lights.

My sweet, sweet girls! The black one has started laying.  It is so exciting.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
My boys are huge.....and getting a little scary .

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
