The Bunch Celebrate Christmas

Cookie had the Force used on her.

She apparently recovered by having a timed reading contest.

Oh, what a fun season this has been! We have been so busy enjoying our time with family and friends. We went to Denison to see a wonderful drive thru light display. It was by far one of the best we have seen. It runs on donations only, but they had all LED lights that were well kept and very sharp looking. We actually drove through it twice because we loved it so much.

The pictures don't do it justice, but it was really neat.

I surprised my husband and kids by taking them to an indoor sky diving facility to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was fun. Basically a huge fan blows you up in the air. The kids had the wind at about 75mph and my husband and oldest son had it set about 94 mph. It is loud with that much wind blowing. My oldest daughter refused to try it and I couldn't because of my ears, but we had a great time watching them have fun.

L had a blast too!

D goes up high!

We made him homemade whoopie pies.

The girls and I had a baking day. We made cookies for my husband to take to work and for the neighbors. We made peppermint oreo balls, sugar cookies --that took L 2 hours to pipe--, chocolate crinkle cookies with a candy cane Hershey kiss, and chocolate dipped pretzels--that the girls were disappointed they loved so much because it took them FOREVER to hand dip all the pretzels.

L spent a LONG time making these look cute.

Dipping the oreo balls in chocolate....they were fantastic!

This probably took the longest, but they did a great job.

We had a Christmas lunch at our house on the 23rd. My parents, our oldest son and his family, and my husband's Aunt joined us. The next day we had lunch and a gift exchange with my husband's family and we ate Christmas breakfast at my parent's house. We had a wonderful time celebrating with everyone.

My in laws...I totally LOVE my father in laws sweater...D needs one!

Only my D is paying attention to me taking pics.

Christmas morning

It was really early!

Santa gave her a new apron. It is so cute. Reminds me of I Love Lucy.

What a great morning...even if it does start really early.

Yep, he in fact can fit inside the box.

Christmas is such a wonderful time and don't be surprised if you still see my tree up next month. It took a lot to get it here and it still looks pretty good, Plus my daughter asked why we couldn't just keep a tree in the living room. "It looks cool". How can I argue with a 15 yr old's logic? Enjoy our tree!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
