The Bunch Celebrate Christmas and the New Year

Merry Christmas!
Christmas has once again come and gone.  We all enjoyed it so much. Everything was kept low key and we just had a wonderful time visiting with our families.  We hosted my husband's family on the 24th for a yummy mexican dinner, which consisted of us just picking it up from the local restaurant since we were trying to keep everything as easy and stress free as possible.  We played games, laughed together, and basically just really enjoyed our evening together.  Later that night, of course, Santa came to visit and left the kids their annual clue hunt to find their gifts.  I made the kids stay in bed until     6:30 am  and then they were allowed to come out and open presents. Afterwards we went to my parents house for a yummy breakfast. Our Christmas couldn't have been better (except maybe having some members who weren't able to come be there).  We enjoyed a nice relaxing holiday weekend, which was good because the next weekend was going to be rough.
They really are crazy about the Greatest Showman.

Surprisingly, they did not get one shirt that was the same.

His comment was "they got old."

Anxiously, awaiting opening gifts.

We had so much fun!

T trying to figure out the first clue.

L reading her first clue.

Maisy is a great helper

A found her second clue.

Celebrating with our daughter/granddaughter in law.

T was Christmas festive by wearing his necklace.

Yummy breakfast of sausages, eggs, and breads.

It was a good day.

It hasn't rained in awhile. MOST of our yard is crunchy and very dry. However, the horse pen is completely muddy.  I am talking standing water and large animals sliding about. We can only assume the pipe that takes our gray water to the sprinkler head was cracked or the horses crushed it. Either way it needed to be moved from their pen. The actual moving of the sprinkler head was pretty easy and inexpensive, HOWEVER, trying to find a 3/4 inch pipe 18 inches in the ground over about 1/2 an acre was NOT fun. In fact we have changed the expression from trying to find a needle in a haystack to trying to find a PVC pipe in the yard! We ,(I mean my husband) basically had to dig up the entire length in order to follow where it was going. It was NOT laid straight as we were previously told. It was really hard to dig so deep because it was SO muddy and we just kept sinking in and sliding, but we did finally finish. My husband was so tired after two days of digging that we stopped after just getting halfway from where we originally wanted it. It was 7 ft more than the minimum required by law so we were good.  They are working perfectly now and the horse pen is down to just super muddy with no standing water. It will probably take a week to completely dry out. We, however, may need more time to rest! It was a lot of hard work and we are happy we are done with it, except for disassembling the head in the horse pen.
This next weekend will be all about relaxing and having fun. We have tickets to go see an Elvis impersonator and should have a good time.  My son is super excited to go.  He loves Elvis.  Happy New Year's everyone!
T asked for glass coke bottles from Santa and then used his Xmas money to get his own little fridge to keep them.

T wanted a John Wayne cookbook for Christmas and then made dinner from it.
He made hamburgers and skillet macaroni. Yummy!

T had the last Cookie this year. Can you tell we watched Star Wars for my husband's birthday?

Absolutely enjoyed our party.

D celebrates his birthday!

We had lunch at Cracker Barrel.

And thanks to Disney went to see yet ANOTHER Star Wars movie on his birthday.  This one was tolerable though. The rest of the family absolutely LOVED it.

T is so excited about our Elvis tickets.

L spent about 7 hours decorating her cookies. I said just slap some icing and glitter on it and call it done, but she wouldn't do it.

Beginning of our massive annual bake day.

L has a lot of decorating to do !

The cookies turned out well.

Boy, did we make A LOT of cookies.

The horses crap A LOT!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
