The Bunch are Ready for Spring Camping

Dinner out with the family.

Well as they say the best laid plans.... alright I don't really know what the saying is, but basically my plans seem to rarely work out. We have had a great stretch of weather for a few days and I have really been looking forward to taking the camper out.
Of course, that means the only two days we wanted to go just happen to coincide with the only two days of bad weather that is expected. We might have still tried to go, but the final nail in the coffin was T coming down with bronchitis. Now, our date is hopefully in two more weeks since next weekend is busy with routine doctor appointments and a farrier visit.

T is also getting his braces next week. It is a really exciting way for us to use our tax return. Think of all the wonderful memories we will make with his braces! Just kidding of course, but he needs them so instead of a trip to the elephant sanctuary, we will be going to the orthodontist. However, we plan to hopefully be able to do the elephant sanctuary and some other fun stuff in Fredericksburg later this year or we might just do our Branson trip.  We really missed going to Branson last year. We really love that area.

He looks really happy, but he is very sick with bronchitis.

A is doing a lot better with driving. The last time I made her drive home from the store, she actually didn't call me mean for making her learn to drive. She came back today and wasn't even crying. We are making great progress. Her anxiety levels are just crazy, but as she practices and gets more use to driving, she is relaxing a little bit more. I feel bad for her, but she has to learn to drive. She leaves in a year so she needs to be completely comfortable behind the wheel by then which means that now is her time to safely practice with us. Ok, so according to her she always plans to live in her room and never leave, but she will have to leave to go to work or school and there is NO public transportation in the country.
She is getting better about driving.

L is about to officially start volleyball season. We have been working hard all off season so the girls are really ready to play. I think they will hold their own in their division. Both A and L plan to tryout for a club team in May so they have also been working towards that.  It will require a lot more driving from me for games since they play all over Texas and southern Oklahoma, but the girls seem excited for a chance to play on a more elite team.

One of our favorite things to do as a family is to go and see the productions the local children's theatre puts on. The most recent one was Shrek. They always do a fantastic job and are a lot of fun. This time our eldest son, C, and his family joined us. He is now working as an insurance agent and is busy a lot so it is always great when we are able to see him.
We went to eat at Cracker Barrel after the play.

Our granddaughter-in-law was all about winning the peg game.

Actually all the kids were really intent on winning. I hope no other table wanted to play. I think we had them all at our table!

D is busy trying to NOT get sick while T is busy trying to infect us all. I think D may lose this battle. He usually manages to catch most of the illnesses that head our way.
He is just a big kid!

Lunch at Chuy's

I had the veggie enchiladas-no gluten, no dairy--- they were really yummy, but VERY spicy!

My hip has been doing better. I still have bad days, but they are fewer and farther between. I am really working on NOT over doing things and that really seems to help, though my doctor and I seem to be on completely different pages for what over doing it means. I really don't think he understands how much I use to do and what I am currently doing is scaled back A LOT. The rest of my family has had way too much fun playing on the mobility scooter I was gifted from a relative who wasn't using it. I plan to utilize it when we take ALL day trips to like the zoo or botanical gardens. Places where walking too long would really aggravate my bursitis. I will be curious how long the battery lasts. I might have a funny story about where it dies.
The kids are having too much fun with MY scooter.

Yep, It's a big hit!     (hehehe!!!)😂😂😂

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
