Merry Christmas From The Bunch!

I only had one #4 so I used 4 regular candles for the other one, which the camera didn't pick up so my husband is 4.😂 Boy, Oh Boy,! The week before Christmas for us is always jam packed. We have my husband's birthday, our anniversary, and Christmas all within 3 days! My husband had to work on his birthday this year so we celebrated a couple of days earlier. We went to go see the new Avatar movie for his birthday. I wasn't sure I wanted to see it in the theaters because it is about 3.5 hours and sitting still for too long in one spot can really bother the arthritis in my hips and become super painful, but we booked a reservation at a theater with extra large comfortable reclining seats and I hoped that would help. We saw it in 3D which my husband usually hates because wearing glasses on top of glasses isn't generally a fun experience. However, not only did the comfy seats help my hip, but all of us, including the aforementioned husband, LOVED the 3D! We haven't se

The Bunch Watch L Sing At The Arboretum

We had a blast at the arboretum! The Arboretum was beautiful! Their theme was the twelve days of Christmas and they did a great job. I also learned that having a better camera doesn't equal better pictures if you don't know how to use your camera! The kids took WAY better pics than I did so D and I decided we're going to watch the tutorial on how to use the camera. I miss the point and shoot days. L's group was by far the largest there. They brought their own risers, keyboard, and sound system and performed for about an hour. Afterwards, we walked around the arboretum and looked at all the beautiful lights. I wanted to stay longer, but the general consensus was that everyone was tired and wanted to go home so after about an hour we left. L arrived at 4 pm with her choir, but we had to wait until 6pm to enter. It was beautiful. There were a lot of kids who went. They set up in the middle of the Christmas Village. It was fun to look at all the shops set up in the villag

The Bunch Bake Cookies, Watch a Basketball Scrimmage, and L Gets Her License!

T's team playing with the Go Pro on the goal.😂 We have watched our fair share Hallmark movies this week. For those of you who like Hallmark, our two favorite so far are Three Wise Men and a Baby and Fabled Romance. We also watched Tickets to Paradise, which is not Christmasy or Hallmark, but was still really good. Pretty much all our holiday shopping is done and I just need to mail a couple of things.  Next, we move on to our holiday baking. I normally make banana bread, but since I don't have a freezer full of overripe bananas I am instead making zucchini breads ( I have PLENTY of that!!).  Noelle climbed in A's backpack while she was cleaning her room. Noelle had a VERY helpful day. She was really nervous waiting to go take her driving test. She was about to leave to take her test. She was so happy to be done and have passed!! L got ahead start on baking this week when she made cookies for her choir friends for Christmas. She also passed her driver's license test!!

The Bunch Finish Most of the Holiday Shopping and Have 2 Basketball Games

Cookie is back! Yes, it is December 3, and we are officially starting our Christmas Break. Why? It is because number one:  I want to and we can, and number two: I really like being able to sit back and really enjoy the Christmas festivities with my family without feeling stressed about all the pressures of the holidays. In fact, we are already 75% done with all our shopping. That leaves loads of time for movies, baking, games, looking at lights, and of course, basketball games. We start school earlier in the fall and work through Thanksgiving break just so we can take a nice long Christmas break. A finishes her classes this weekend and will have a six and a half week break that she is really ready for. She has been on large animals recently and a few of the procedures have left her a little nauseous so she is ready to be able to just go to work and then come home and unwind. T forgot about Cookie so she over took his chair and blankie! T had two ball games this week. The first one wa
