The Bunch Celebrate C's Birthday and Kick Off Basketball Season

The weeks are beginning to go by faster now, especially with basketball season being in full swing. We managed to go up to C's new house in Bonham to celebrate his birthday. His house is about 77 miles east of our house. The drive is pretty nice and it only takes about an hour to get there. We went to a chinese place called The Bamboo House. It was probably the best place I have ever had Chinese food. I liked it better than Mr. Chopsticks in Denton and I really love Mr Chopsticks. C showed off his new house to us now that they are all unpacked and we visited for a bit. T has a game out that way in a couple of weeks so he plans to come watch T play.  Their house is super cute! It is small at only 1200 sq ft, but they designed it really well.  It was built this year and is an open floor plan. It is so light and bright looking. It makes it feel bigger than it is. Both bathrooms have dual vanities. All three bedrooms are a good size. Since they both work from home, they converted one

The Bunch Get Ready For Halloween

My twinsie First off, I will let everyone know that T is fine. He has practiced two other times since the "incident" and both times has been perfectly normal. The team was just worked out way too hard by their coach for that practice and T just can't sustain that level of intense physical activity for that long. In contrast, this week he had a phenomenal practice. During one practice, he shot so well the coach made everyone else who missed run until T missed. He never missed and the coach finally relented!  At the next practice, he won the 3pt contest.  His new teammates are taking notice. T is kind of at a disadvantage since pretty much everyone else on his team played together since last year. We have our first game next week so it will be interesting to see how the dynamics play out. We also have our first tournament coming up. This is the same tournament last year where our car died in the parking lot and D had to drive down to Duncanville, about an hour and a half

The Bunch Head To Ray Roberts and T Has A Little Scare

This is the original bridge to the area from 1899. Unfortunately, our planned trip to Bonham State Park did not pan out. This park only has 13 rv sites and even on a Monday and Tuesday night they were completely booked. My daughter in law's father who works there says it is not uncommon for people to rent the whole place out. Therefore, we weren't able to head up that way to visit C and H. Instead, we went to Lake Ray Roberts and enjoyed a hike that we had never done before. It was about 5 miles and took us a couple of hours to complete, but that also included stopping along the way to check out possible places for L to have her senior photos taken. We found several cute spots, but unfortunately by the time her cap and gown comes in there will probably not be any leaves on the trees. I think we may just take some pics without her cap and gown and then take the rest later when her gown gets here. L has also been busy researching what she wants to go to college/trade school to do

The Bunch Make Basketball Tournament Reservations and Christmas Plans

L was excited she could finally do elevated splits. Pre-pandemic we had started an annual tradition of going to Branson,MO the week before Thanksgiving. Branson is one of our favorite places to go and the week before Thanksgiving is a great time to kick off the Christmas season there. The whole town is decorated, and it is not very busy yet. We would meet my parents there and have a week of family filled fun. It has now been almost three years since we have been and interestingly enough T's national basketball tournament is held in Springfield, MO every year, which is pretty much the next town over. Unfortunately, it is in March not during Christmas time, but we still are looking forward to seeing the area while we are there, around the basketball schedule of course. I have wanted to go to the aquarium in Springfield for what seems like forever so I am really excited to get the chance to this spring. We aren't sure if A will be able to go with us, but hopefully she is able to

The Bunch Go To A's Work Open House And Take L Back To The Orthopedic Dr.

As I have said before, A really lucked out in finding a great job. Not only does she really like everyone she works with, but the business itself treats their employees well. They have a break room fully furnished with drinks and snacks and the company also pays for Sonic Happy Hour drinks every afternoon. The clinic literally just moved into their new facility when she started working there and this week they had their grand opening. Fortunately, it was on a day A had off so she could show us all around. The clinic went all out for the opening. They had a bounce house for the kids, grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausage. There was also lots of goodies for your fur babies. Maisy ended up with a new Kong toy, a new collar, and a bandana. While Noelle ended up with a squeeze up treat and her own bandana, which she actually wears all day long with out trying to take it off. She looks really cute in it!  She was so excited to show us her work. The exam rooms are HUMONGOUS! I could eas
