First off, I will let everyone know that T is fine. He has practiced two other times since the "incident" and both times has been perfectly normal. The team was just worked out way too hard by their coach for that practice and T just can't sustain that level of intense physical activity for that long. In contrast, this week he had a phenomenal practice. During one practice, he shot so well the coach made everyone else who missed run until T missed. He never missed and the coach finally relented! At the next practice, he won the 3pt contest. His new teammates are taking notice. T is kind of at a disadvantage since pretty much everyone else on his team played together since last year. We have our first game next week so it will be interesting to see how the dynamics play out. We also have our first tournament coming up. This is the same tournament last year where our car died in the parking lot and D had to drive down to Duncanville, about an hour and a half away, to pick us up. Hopefully, that doesn't happen again! We haven't had any issues since then so I feel pretty confident we'll be fine. It actually worked out well that it died where it did. Yes, it was inconvenient, but we were close to a dealership where it could be fixed and we had a free tow.
L had her Halloween spirit this week and we watched a few Halloween cartoons. She also painted her pumpkin. T prefers to carve his pumpkin so he has to wait until the day before Halloween to make his. Otherwise, the pumpkin gets moldy and I can't cook it down to put in the freezer for our pies and breads. L also has been given the ok to take the cast off. Her wrist is pretty weak now and she really wants to put it back on. However, she has been doing physical therapy so hopefully soon she'll be back to where she needs to be. She also scheduled her driving test to get her license. She has to wait almost 6 weeks to get in, but she at least has an appointment. I have given up on the DMV ever being "normal" again.

Noelle always has to help us. |

She was very meticulous about painting her pumpkin. |

Noelle still "helping" |

The pumpkin looks deceptively easy. It actually took her awhile to get it exactly how she wanted it. |

The finished product. The spider was pretty tricky to get symmetrical. |
A is still loving her job. In just over 2 months, she has asked at least 3 times if we can get another dog. Apparently, breeders bring their dogs in once they are 10 to be euthanized, regardless of how well they are, and it breaks her heart. Twice now she has asked to bring home a senior dog and once a breeder was giving away a registered teacup poodle puppy that someone already paid for, but had to return. I told her once Maisy dies she can bring a dog home. She responded with "how many"?!? I really don't want multiple dogs, but we'll see I guess. I told her that she can't save them all and her reply was "why"? She has been in surgery all week this week learning the ropes. She was pretty excited when she did her first shots and vaccines. She also learned how to hook the animals up to the leads for surgery. I am just happy she found something she really enjoys.
D and I are both doing well and looking forward to all his upcoming time off.
