The Bunch Celebrate C's Birthday and Kick Off Basketball Season

The weeks are beginning to go by faster now, especially with basketball season being in full swing. We managed to go up to C's new house in Bonham to celebrate his birthday. His house is about 77 miles east of our house. The drive is pretty nice and it only takes about an hour to get there. We went to a chinese place called The Bamboo House. It was probably the best place I have ever had Chinese food. I liked it better than Mr. Chopsticks in Denton and I really love Mr Chopsticks. C showed off his new house to us now that they are all unpacked and we visited for a bit. T has a game out that way in a couple of weeks so he plans to come watch T play.

Their house is super cute! It is small at only 1200 sq ft, but they designed it really well.

It was built this year and is an open floor plan.

It is so light and bright looking. It makes it feel bigger than it is.

Both bathrooms have dual vanities.

All three bedrooms are a good size.

Since they both work from home, they converted one bedroom into a home office, which apparently doesn't work when they both have phone calls to take. 😂

B likes her new school and as a bonus her Grandma is the school nurse there.

T had his first basketball game of the season this week and unfortunately, they lost. However, they lost in overtime in a very tight game. We were playing our historically toughest competitor and everyone played really well. T definitely did not get as much playing time as he normally does, but he is a starter. I think the coach is still really freaked out by the little episode a couple of weeks ago and is just really trying to make sure that T has no chance of reaching that point again. He only played about a third of the game, but made 2 baskets. All the kids pretty evenly split the baskets. T might not be offensive player of the year this year since everyone scores about the same, at least it won't be the blow out it was last year when  T scored more than twice as many points as the next player. On the plus side, if T has a bad night it also won't mean that the team automatically loses.

T played well. Fun fact: the new white shorts are see through and it turns out T does not own white underwear! 😂 We'll fix that issue before next week's tournament.

He still has only lost a tip off once. Unfortunately, both times this game the other team recovered the ball.

Even though he'll deny it, this WAS the picture that made my husband shave off his beard! He said he thought he was smiling. I told him he needs to really exaggerate his emotions with a beard. On a side note, we went to see Voddie Baucham. Watch some of his stuff on you tube. He was great!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
