The Bunch Are Tired Of Summer!

They love each other. 💗

The insanely hot, long summer can end! I think everyone can agree that the South is ready for fall! Things have been busy here. Having only one child still in secondary school has been different. School seems to move so much faster since T doesn't have to wait for me to finish doing something for anybody else first. Most of the time it's just me, T, and D. It reminds me of when it was just me, D, and C (our eldest). Life has come full circle. Speaking of C, we are going to go spend a few nights in Bonham in a couple of weeks to celebrate his and our granddaughter's birthdays. We always enjoy our visits with them, especially since we don't get to see them very often. I can't believe C turns 30 this year!!! Time goes by so fast. I am never sure how each day can seem so long, but at the same time I feel like I barely blink and a decade has passed.

T has been busy with basketball. The craziness of basketball season starts the first weekend in November and will go through the end of January. Once February gets here is slows way down and after mid March it's over. I will say that this year's schedule is to my liking. Most of our games (not tournaments) are within 20 minutes of our house! T still thinks he doesn't want to play next year, but we'll see. Basketball keeps him busy, but I am open to him doing something else.

We went to go get T a echo stress, but they only sent us somewhere that could do an echo so now we have to go to South lake in November to get the echo stress done.

We went to go get Mr. Chopsticks afterwards. It was so yummy!

T banged heads with a teammate in practice so we had to come home early to put ice on it. I am going to get some instant cold packs to keep in his bag in case he needs ice again.

Fortunately, he seems fine and we got the swelling under control. He just has pretty colors around his eye.

A is so close to graduating from college. She is both excited and a little nervous about it. She asked me the other day what she is suppose to do after college. I told her that that was the beauty of it, she could do whatever she wants! I think she plans to stay at the clinic she currently works at and hopefully can save up for a down payment on a home. D and I think when he retires from the force in about 5 years that we will sell our house and buy a plot of land to divide up among the kids so they can build their houses somewhere. We have been looking into modular homes as a possible option. We have fun watching videos of the new models together and imagining how she would use the space.

D has been doing so much better. He is learning his new normal and for the most part has been adhering to it. He has cut out caffeine, alcohol, spicy food, and really watches his portion sizes. I haven't heard him complain about pancreatitis pain in awhile so it seems to be working, plus he also takes a PPI that helps.

I hope everyone has a good week ( us included)!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
