The Bunch Celebrate Halloween And Basketball Season Officially Starts

We bought professional pumpkin carving tools this year! It was a lot of work and time consuming so we'll probably never use them again!

We have been crazy busy dealing with the lifetime movie worthy antics of what has become our new insanely stressful life. We are hopeful that one part of our investigation will close this week and if we're lucky, which lets face it we are not this year, the other case will be wrapped up and indictments handed down with in the next 4-6 weeks, which sounds so far away, but I know it will get here. Justice with the law moves slowly, but it will come eventually. It's the waiting knowing you were so wronged that's the hard part. L is in outpatient therapy all day five days a week. I have no idea what happened, but she is a completely different person with only glimpses of the L we know. Sometimes I wish she had just been on drugs because then we would know what caused the change and be on the path to recovery. Since we have no idea what caused her behavior/thinking to change, we have no idea if she'll ever be back. She has reverted back to carry her pink puppy she loved from childhood. I had found it for her thinking it might help and she was really happy. She also has started wearing her hair like she did 5 years ago, with a cloth headband and a braid. Her paranoia is insanely high. She keeps asking us if her dreams are real or thinking she hears footsteps on the roof over her bedroom. A and T aren't really too sure what to think about her and try to be as normal as possible around her, but they definitely are cautious. The really close relationship L had with both of them is gone and I doubt it will ever be what it was again. She has just put them through too many things that have been too stressful. I am not sure the therapy is really helping, but at least she is safely occupied during the day so we can have some down time to get things done without worrying about what L is doing.  She obviously had to drop all of her college classes. I hope to have her re-enroll for next semester, but that might just be wishful thinking. I do need to come up with something she can handle to keep her busy though.

Basketball season officially started. It always kicks off with a tournament weekend. Our team did pretty well. We lost 2 games and won 2 games. I think we placed 6th overall. However, T played phenomenal! He was the one to stop. In the last game we played, the team lost by 9 points, but T made 17 of the 27 points that our team had! No one could push him around! All his weightlifting is definitely helping him in basketball. I wish the rest of the team would start training in the weight room too. Almost all of our secondary players also play volleyball and have missed a lot of the practices. Volleyball ends this week so hopefully they can come to all the practices and work on what the starters have been doing. We would have done a lot better if they had known what they should have been doing. Overall though, they are off to a great start and playing more aggressively. T is off to a great start. Maybe he will end up being Offensive Player of the Year again!

A had to drop one of her surgical classes. She wasn't ready to do some of the labs she needed yet so she'll have to retake the class so she can have more time to practice. She finished most of the labs though so next time it should be a fairly easy class. She has exactly 4 classes left. It is so close and yet so far away. She is getting really tired of school, but I told her she just needs to push through because she has almost made it.

T starting his pumpkin. He knew back in September he wanted to do the Simpsons.

His pumpkin was fairly intricate so he had to use the small tools.

It took him over 3 hours!

This picture pretty much sums up A's pumpkin carving experience 😂
She gave up after 5 minutes.

L was festive in her pumpkin shirt.

T and I brought the pets to A's work to do her labs on.

I feel fairly certain it will take a while for them to forgive and forget 😂

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
