The Bunch Celebrate Thanksgiving And Look Forward To The Christmas Holidays

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽️

Our Thanksgiving Day was wonderful! L and I had premade almost everything the day before so on Thanksgiving we had very little to prepare. It was mostly just cook everything.  We spent Thanksgiving doing everything we normally do on Thanksgiving. We got up and watched the parade. While the parade is on, we start warming everything to eat for lunch. After the parade is the dog show, which is the highlight of A's day. L doesn't care as much for the dog show, but enjoys making the gingerbread houses while we watch. This year she volunteered to assemble A's house since A can never do it. She just doesn't have the patience to hold it and wait for the walls to dry. A greatly enjoyed just getting to decorate the house this year without the headache of trying to assemble it. T gave up assembling gingerbread houses three years ago and now just decorates "gingerbread  house cookies", which basically means he lays each wall down flat, slaps some icing on top of each one, and then places whatever candy he likes on top. Thanks to shrinkflation, I had the hardest time getting my walls to stay up this year. I have no idea why the smaller the house the harder it is to assemble. T finally talked me into just turning mine into cookies too! 😂 I will admit though his cookie idea is way easier and far less time consuming, I definitely prefer to decorate the house. It's just fun. I guess I'll try again next year. Hopefully, next year is way better than this year and I'll have the patience to keep trying. Overall, it was really nice to have a day that just felt normal.

I hope everyone else had a nice holiday.

We're back to craziness next week with 5 games and some other more frustrating things we have to do.

T's gingerbread house cookies.

My cookies after I gave up all hope of the walls ever standing.

A's house turned out cute!

L always has the most elaborate house. She enjoys taking the time to design and decorate it more elaborately than the rest of us do and it shows.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
