The Bunch Get Ready For State This Week And T Gets Sick AGAIN

She is growing so fast 🐈

After our horrendous show at the district tournament last week, our JV B team started thinking that they were better than our JV A team and challenged our A team to a scrimmage. We took them up on that and soundly put them in their place with some humble pie. We didn't even play our starters the whole time and one boy, who usually doesn't do anything more than warm the bench at game time, played two full quarters. Honestly, I was impressed with him because I had never even him get sweaty before since he almost never plays. The final score without us even going all out was 61-32. However, the next day T started not feeling well and as it turns out half our team caught the flu and only 5 people were well enough to play our last game, which meant no subs and 3 of the five that showed up are on the second string and don't play a lot of game time. They lost, but only by 12, which considering everything I thought that was pretty good. T is feeling better now. He is still a little congested so his nebulizer is making the trip to State with us. L complained this morning about feeling a little under the weather and being unusually tired and I feel like I have some sinus issues, but so far no one is as bad as T was. This is the third time in 6 months that T has been sick. He is normally so healthy. I hope he is done being sick this year! Everytime he gets ill, it settles in his chest and just takes so long for him to feel better and stop coughing.

We had to get our trailer inspected before we left and luckily they informed us that new tires were needed so we managed to find a place with tires in stock. I feel better having new tires rather than having to "keep an eye on it". On that note, why can't the same place do tires AND pack the bearings?!?! It seems like that would make sense since the tire is already off, but NOOO so now we have new tires, but have to take the trailer in to get the bearings packed.🤷 

The new baby kitty is merging well with our other pets. In fact, she stays out the majority of the day now. She is going to be upset this week when she has to be caged all day while A is at work. In fact, A is going to take her to work with her one day to get her shots and play with her.

The Bunch Start Birthday Week

  Yes, my Mom had my name misspelled on the cake.😂 It was still yummy so it was all good. T, A, and I all have our birthdays within a week and a half. Which means there is a crazy amount of sugar within those 10 days. We always like to make whoever's birthday it is feel special for the day. We watch what they want,do activities they like, eat what they pick, do their chores for them, etc. It not usually too expensive, but just a fun day where it's focused on them. The kids use to use their days to rule like little kings and queens, but have become a lot calmer in their "old" age since they get to do whatever they want most of the time anyways. The Bunch Visit Family

  We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.  We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit. We had a great day!🥰 We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗 We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. The Bunch Have A Fantastic Week!

  Pickleball is always fun! Now that the weather has been nicer, albeit super windy, we have been trying to do our weekly pickleball match. Basically, this week whoever was playing with the wind won! We still have fun playing even when it is windy. In fact, playing in the wind probably makes us have more fun. The wind gusts sometimes pick the ball up and make it do some funny things, like getting the ball and pushing it back onto your side so you lose a point or blowing it three courts over! Luckily, we are usually the only ones there so it doesn't matter if we play across 4 courts. Afterwards, we usually go get some ice cream/ frozen yogurt and just enjoy our outing.  T went camping this weekend with his troop. They worked on orienteering, which I was super happy about since T needs to work on that something fierce, but unfortunately the boys in troop aren't much better than him at orienteering and the first guy oriented them upside down on the first one so they basically was...
