The Bunch Celebrate H's Birthday

My goofballs in the background ❤️ We got together this weekend at my mom's house to celebrate H's birthday. We see my parents often, but since C started having his heart issues he hasn't been able to go visit them and  he lives too far for my parents to go visit him. In fact, I question whether or not my house is too far for my parents to drive to  and C lives almost twice as far! It was really nice getting to see everyone. We did things simple. We got some pizza, some cake, and just spent our time visiting with each other. D, T, and I are going camping this week so we'll see C again soon. He is actually moving to a new house so we're going to help him move somethings. We don't want him over exerting himself. This trip we're going to work on Axl being left alone in the trailer. Well, without us. Maisy will still be there and we'll be only 10 minutes away helping C and will make trips back to check on them quite frequently. With all the rain we have bee...

The Bunch Take T To Urgent Care, Enjoy A Trader Joe's Haul, & Visit The Dallas Zoo

It was a super fun day! This was quite a busy week! First off, it was stormy. As you know our huge new dog is a big baby and is VERY reactive to storms. We have had SOME success with giving him anxiety medicine and putting him in his kennel. He does require someone to stay up with him while he is in his kennel so T and I take turns sitting with him. While we are still tired, at least this way we can relax instead of trying to man handle him to get out from behind the couch. He's been doing great gaining weight and while he still needs to gain about 30 more lbs, he has gained enough already it is getting really hard to make him do anything he doesn't want to!  The neighbor asked T if he would help her trim her bushes this week. She had surgery recently and can't get very much done so she likes to give T a few bucks to come help her do some chores. He spent about two hours cleaning her hedgerow and trimming the bushes. Unfortunately, he came into something he was HIGHLY aller...

The Bunch Get Ready For Summer......And More Rain

I had a great Mother's Day! The days maybe getting longer, but they seem to be going by faster! This week we celebrated Mother's Day. I had to take T to Grapevine to get new shoes and then we went to my mother's house to celebrate Mother's Day with her. Yes, we pass about a million shoe stores on the way to Grapevine, but T is super picky about shoes. He has to have hard court tennis shoes, which this store keeps exactly one kind in stock and since he likes it we trek down there, buy multiple pairs for the year, and then trek back. It takes an hour and fifteen minutes to get there just to spend 10 minutes in the store and it's totally worth it. He likes lateral support in his shoes so cross trainers should work, but they have cloth loops that attach the laces to the shoe and he ALWAYS rips them out so the laces have to actually go through the leather uppers and essentially this is the only option for a shoe he deems acceptable. After getting this year's shoes,...

The Bunch Get Over 6 Inches of Rain

This time they had his recital at a church and NOT the bar!! It was all the way in Denton though and didn't serve pizza. We would have preferred the bar!😂 I don't want to complain because we really needed the rain, but tapping the brakes on it for a few days would be fantastic. We have had so many storms either directly hit us or come close enough that Axl thought they did and still freaked out. In a desperate move we actually got his ginormous kennel back out and set it up in the middle of the living room. We really just wanted to contain him enough to be able to sleep. Yes, it's the same kennel that he has shown us he is Houdini in being able to escape, but this time (weirdly enough) he only is put in his cage when we are right next to him and crazily enough it's actually working! Unless there is a giant clap of thunder or hail beating down on the roof, he just curls up and pants in his cage, which is a big win for us! Now, he still enters his crazy phase with thunde...
