The Bunch Enjoy the Nice Weather

Enjoying a beautiful evening

Ok. Today is like 26 mph winds so the weather isn't as nice as it has been, but overall we have spent a lot of time outside lately enjoying the cooler weather. Yes, low eighties is cooler for Texas. What has really helped is the drier air.

Lovely Sunset.

Our original plans to head to Copper Breaks State Park to star watch had to be changed. Because of the pandemic, there are so many more rv'ers that even on a weekday at a fairly unknown park you need a reservation at least a month in advance. Basically, my wait to check the weather and then reserve doesn't work now. We are instead heading back to Eisenhower State Park in Lake Texoma again. We had such a wonderful time last time that we hope to repeat the pleasant experience sans car sickness. We did book the Copper Breaks Park for another time and it will be a new moon then so star viewing should be even better, except now I can guarantee there will probably be a storm or a lot of clouds. Kind of our luck so I am going with the odds.

The kids have been busy with school and A is getting ready to take her driving test. She is NOT at all excited about it. I will probably have to contend with mood swings and crying, but she needs to get it done before she turns 17 years and 10 months. Yes, the state specifically says 17 years and 10 months. If she doesn't take the test before then she will have to redo all the classes. Also, the mommy van doesn't have a college stop.

We are all finally getting use to the limited lifestyle we have been gifted with for the next year. School helps the time pass quickly.  We are also looking forward to the holidays. Even if we can't see everyone like normal, it is nice to having something special to look forward to.

They found a Holiday Barbie among the stuff my Aunt was getting rid of.

Apparently, they have always really wanted one,but never asked because they thought it was too expensive. They were through the moon to find it.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
