The Bunch Stay Indoors During This Cold Winter Like Weather

A made us fried oreos since we couldn't go to the state fair.

I am not a fan of being cold. I live in Texas so I am well acclimated on how to not over heat, but these abnormal cold snaps are not enjoyable. First off any cold, rainy, windy, hot, or any other weather related phenomena, the animals still have to be cared for. That means cleaning, feeding, watering, and doing anything else required at least twice a day. Though to be fair, I just bought a hay net big enough to hold an entire days worth of food for the horses so now on those really icy, cold days I only have to do it once. I feel like some kind of grassy Santa Claus heading out there with 25 lbs of hay slung over my back in a white sack and, of course, the horses are super excited to see me (ok they probably are really only excited for the food, but I pretend it's for me). This week was your typical January weather pattern, except in October! At least the rain was no where near as much as the weathermen predicted it would be. Really cold, windy, wet weather is super bad for the chickens. Their coop is well protected from wind, but water can get in especially if it pours, which let's face it is 9 out of 10 times what happens in Texas. I was grateful it was just really cold and drizzly. It could have been much worse.

The llamas next door just had two cute babies.

I spent the time indoors making cinnamon rolls

They turned out pretty good, but took forever.

Maisy spent the cold weather cuddling with everyone!

The new hay net is not only huge, but also has smaller holes so it should really slow the horses down.

Except for the couple hours a day that we had to go outside, we mostly just stayed indoors. We went to the dentist finally. I made sure we had the first appointments of the day. A family of 5 going to the dentist at the same time takes just as long as you would think. Plus A needed to get molds done (which turned into a complete fiasco thanks to the new hygienist and really made A mad). She needed a nightguard plus a new retainer. She literally ground a hole in her current retainer. Needless to say between this and the car repairs we finally had done, this was a very expensive weekend. However, next week is suppose to be back to normal so we look forward to being able to go outside again and enjoy the weather.

T spent his time drawing. This is all free hand. He pauses a show on what he wants to draw and then  draws it.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
