The Bunch Continue to Bear 2021

Oh my goodness! We are only to January 13, 2021, and already I am done with this year! First, around noon on January 1st, our fairly new water pump went out and caused us to go without running water for almost 2 FULL weeks! I won't even go into what all that entailed in order to get by. I promise you don't want to know. Second, my last surviving grandmother passed away this week. I had not seen her in about 20 years, but I have very fond memories of summer visits with her and my grandfather. She was a good lady. She had promised to live to 100 and was only about 6 months short. Third, the cute adorable kitten we adopted had an intestinal disease we had to treat ( not fun). Fourth, D's cousin was hospitalized with sepsis and his fever has been so high they have been unable to amputate his leg. It doesn't look good for him. Fifth, our kitten now has ring worms ( have no idea how that happened since she doesn't go outside) so the treatment is a bath for 10 minutes with an antifungal shampoo. It turns out that our cute little 10 week old baby kitten can fight like a lioness when she thinks you're trying to drown her. We all are now sporting some nice deep scratches so bath time has officially been cancelled. I am not sure what we will do, but I know we won't be bathing her four  times a week! Lastly, today (exactly 24 hours after our wonderful running water was restored) it turns out the toilet has a leak, which at best is replacing a gasket and at worst replacing the toilet. Both of which aren't too big of a deal, but just one more thing that has happened. I am kind of starting to get worried about what's next. In the grand scheme of things, nothing has been too bad yet, but we're only 2 weeks into the new year and so far last year was better.

I hope everyone else is having a better new year than we have so far!

The kitten is determined Maisy will love her. She tries to curl up with her all the time. Maisy doesn't particularly care for the cuddling, but usually tolerates it.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though...
