The Bunch Visit the Jurassic World Exhibition

This week was also a nice week.  We drew from the fun jar  go hiking and visit the Jurassic World Exhibition.  I have wanted to go hike a greenbelt that is near us since we moved here. Finally, after almost 5 years, we have. This area has over 20 miles of hiking trails and also allows horses. It was raining the day we went so we did not see anyone else, but it would be a fun place to take your horse for a trail ride. It's too bad we can't ride our horse! We managed to get our hike in between rain showers so other than the high humidity it was nice hike. It was pretty flat so it was a fairly easy trail. We have had to scale some mountains on a few of our hikes, but this was like a nice nature walk, though being as competitive as we all are it turned into who can speed walk the fastest walk. Spoiler T and I pretty much walk the same speed. It was a fun way to get a little exercise in and we spent about an hour there hiking.

T proudly showing off how short Daddy is now.

It was a nice easy hike though it was super humid.

We had a lot fun. We even saw 2 huge trout in the river!

We always look so happy BEFORE we hike.

We went to buy our new oven this week, but it wasn't on sale anymore (even though it was advertised that it was) and they were out of stock so since we don't really need it yet we are waiting until I see a good sale, probably around Labor Day. My kids find it funny that I will never pay full price for anything or rarely pay full price. I am willing to wait patiently until I find a deal I want. The kids pick up on my habits too. T had been stalking the nintendo website waiting for his NBA 2K21 to go on sale. It paid off the other day and during one of their flash sales T got the $100 game for $4.79 or  95% off! The girls also always check sales and clearance racks  first before they start looking around at the rest of the store.

The Jurassic World Exhibition is in the Colony this summer and I found a coupon code where we were able to get tickets for about $20-$30 each. It was a really fun experience. It is amazing how life like they can make these robots look. We had a super fun time!

We were excited to go see this exhibit. T loved dinosaurs when he was little. This was a nod to his 4 year old self.

The storm was rolling in.

The way the dinosaurs moved and walked around was so freaking cool!

It was a good experience. Definitely worth it to us.

Lots of smiles.

The way it was set up you moved with your group to each exhibit and the hosts talked about what you were seeing. This was the "training" area for the dinosaurs.

This was the nursery.

A was looking inside one of the eggs.

The newborns. L's phone classified them as food.😂

This one moved its neck up and down. The technology was unreal for this exhibit, even the nostrils flared as they were breathing.

Luckily, it wasn't very busy when we were there.

It was a fantastic way to spend about an hour.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
