The Bunch Girls Go To H's Bridal Shower and Celebrate Birthdays

The girls. My soon to be official granddaughter is 12.

It appears that our family is back to pre-covid levels of busyness. Maybe slightly less busy since L is not playing a sport and A does her own thing. However, we literally only have 5 days left in October that don't have anything already scheduled. Now, some things are fun things like dinner with my parents or visiting family, but I schedule these things anyways just so nothing will come up that interferes with our plans.  D has a lot of mandatory training this month on his days off so basically this month we are super busy and won't have time to go camping. Hopefully, we will be able to go twice in November, but with T's basketball starting up around then I am not sure what our schedule will look like.

A has been going to the college group at church and this weekend they are going to Camp Copass in Denton, which is more like just staying in a cabin and doing all the activities that they have there, like volleyball, basketball, and many many other things. She is excited to go and I am happy she is willingly leaving the house and making friends.  She has been volunteering every week at the animal shelter and really seems to enjoy it. Apparently, someone brought in a hen this week so I told her if no one claimed it before she went back next week that she could bring it back here. Farm animals are sometimes hard for city shelters to get rid of and we have successfully added a single hen to our flock before (remember our hen we found on the side of the highway and nursed back to health? She is still one of our best chickens). It helps when they are full grown so they can stand up to all the hens that will be pecking at it. A is getting almost all A's in college and finishes with her first class next week.  I am proud of her. It also makes me feel good that I prepared her to be able to do so well.

T has his last baptism class this week before he is baptized on Dec. 4. D is going to baptize him. T also will be getting his braces off in the first week of November, which he is super excited about. L has been practicing with the choir and sings on Oct. 31 for the entire congregation. She is also wanting to take dance again, but I am not sure we have time for that. I will have to look into it.

We all were able to go spend a little time with our aunt on her birthday. It was fun. We visited for a bit, had some yummy Cajun takeout, and T found a new person to do card tricks for. The girls get really tired of watching T do card tricks. They'll willingly sit for a couple, but T always wants them watch an hour's worth or more so he was glad to show someone who had never seen any of his tricks.

T enjoying Aunt P's massage chair.

T is so happy to have someone new to watch his magic tricks. We all get a little tired of always watching his card tricks.

The girls and I attended H's bridal shower. It was nice, but watching her go through all this stress makes me very happy that D and I just went to the courthouse to get married. It was a lot less expensive and A LOT less stress. The girls think I am weird that I didn't care about a wedding and seemed surprised that I never played wedding as a little girl. Not once that I can remember did I ever play pretend wedding or even think about what my wedding would be like. Truth be told, I never planned on getting married or having kids, but God had other plans and I am so glad he did! I have a feeling the girls plan on a big fancy wedding. I don't plan on paying for it so they can do whatever they can afford.

H is ready for her wedding day, but was really upset her mom got Covid and wasn't able to go to the shower.

C came to help decorate beforehand.

It was really nice. We met most of her family.

I accidentally took a pic of me while trying to take pics of H opening gifts. It is really hard to see my phone outside.😂

L playing with the ring cutouts.

We played a fun game. I got most of the answers wrong! Apparently, C is only super extroverted around family! Who knew?

My future family....well have already been like family now it's on paper.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
