The Bunch Are Officially on Break!

The craziness of the past two weeks is finally over! It feels so nice to know that we get to slow down for a couple of weeks. We like that T plays ball on a team that wins and that everyone on it plays hard. Select teams are completely different than recreation teams. It is very competitive and we have to try drive ALL over North Texas. We have been as far north as Sivell Bend, which technically feels like it should be in Oklahoma since we had to drive a few miles past the casino to get there, and as far south as Duncanville, basically we play in about an 80 sq mile radius. Game days lately have been twice a week with a practice one a week. Game day generally means we have to leave our house by about 2:30 for a 5:00 pm game. We won't get back home until around 8:00 pm. It makes for long tiring days so this break is fantastic.

L even has a break from choir for a few weeks so our schedule is really relaxed for the holidays, which we love. L sang last week in the services. They combined both the high school and middle school choirs and it was great, though L said it was super tight trying to fit everyone on the risers. After services they went to the Good Samaritan and sang to the residents there. They even learned new songs for the the occasion. I can only imagine how much the residents enjoyed listening to them. Once they were done singing their choir director bought pizza for everyone and L enjoyed some time with her friends. L also had to plan and execute a dinner party for her Home Ec final. She pretty much planned an all cold meal so she could make it ahead of time. We had smoked turkey salad sandwiches on Hawaiian bread, jello with fruit that she put in a mold, salad with candied pecans, potato salad, punch, and to top it off cranberry chocolate cake. She literally spent all day in the kitchen making the dinner and decorating. It turned out great though and she even played us a couple of Christmas songs on the keyboard.
L's dinner turned out well.

Our church has great Christmas decorations.

There was a lot of kids squeezed on to that stage!

T is getting so tall!

A made all B pluses and A's in her first semester of college. I am very proud of her because one of her vet classes was a struggle and she worked so hard to do well.
Our cat is so big!

I literally only got up to refill my coffee and she moved in and acted like she had always been there!

Cookie is back to her night time mischief.

This year we are playing where is Cookie hiding.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
