The Bunch Go To The Movies and L Paints A Picture

L worked a total of 16 hours on her picture.

This was our first real week off from school and we loved it. The weather cooled off a little and made being outside quite pleasant.  D has been quite busy with training season in full swing so it has mostly just been myself and the kids. A is crazy busy with school. She is trying to get far enough ahead to take the week of our vacation off. We are really excited about our first real trip in 3 years. I am a little nervous about getting the trailer through Houston traffic. I thought about going around, but 45 is the most direct route and we won't have to worry about tight turns and low bridges. Plus, we went through crazy traffic on our Chicago trip so we are just going to go and figure things out as we need to. We did take the one day off that D had and decided to do something fun. The kids are super into Downton Abbey so we went to see the new movie. It was a really great movie. D and I haven't really seen much of the show, but even we enjoyed it. Afterwards, we went to eat mexican food at a nearby restaurant. Everyone had such a good time. We don't do a lot fun stuff unless we are on a trip and it made everyone super excited for our upcoming trip when everyday is a fun day! Of course, after our fun movie and lunch we had to run errands because gas is expensive and we were in town.  Even better it was the grocery store we had to go to which is everyone's least favorite errand. We also went shopping for the items the kids will need for church camp. Almost as soon as we get back from our Galveston trip, the kids are off to camp for a week with their friends. They have a fun June planned.

It was such a good day.

We were so hungry that we all filled up on chips and ended up taking home our actually meal.😂

T was very intent on what special the waitress was talking about.

It was so great for us to have such a fun day.

L finished her painting. It turned out so good!

T enjoyed the Elvis memorial that the restaurant had.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
