The Bunch Move C and H

A is completely loving her two weeks of free time.

Pretty much all of this past week was spent helping C and H move from their house in Carrollton to their new house in Bonham. We all worked really hard and after two full days of helping, and sweating profusely, I am happy to say that they are all moved. Their new house is almost 1000 sq ft smaller so they did A LOT of downsizing. Their new house is a new build and super cute. They still have a lot of unpacking to do, but our part is all over as of today. We will be spending the next day recovering. Moving gets harder as you get older. C did two extra days of moving by himself and I have no idea how he is still standing! I am just exhausted and greatly looking forward to putting my feet up and watching Murdoch Mysteries ( thanks Aunt Pat for sharing).

We did manage to get about an inch of rain this week. Unfortunately, it did not really make dent in the drought, but it was very appreciated.

Unfortunately, the storm knocked our power out for three hours. We just made up games to keep us entertained. It did get a bit stuffy though without any air circulation.

T made the 14u A team for basketball this season and is very excited to be playing with larger boys, though he is still the tallest, but at least it isn't by a lot. We also started back to school this week. This is L's last year in high school and T's first. My babies are all growing up. L is super excited that her best friend is having her 16th birthday at Great Wolf Lodge this week. They are going to have so much fun watching movies, playing the wand game ( a wand opens drawers and helps you find clues to solve a mystery) and playing at the water park. Other than helping her brother move, A is taking complete advantage of her time off before school  and work start in a week. She is spending her time napping and reading. I raised a 65 year old.

Have a great week everyone! I will hopefully have a more interesting week this week and have more to talk about next week.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though...
