The Bunch Have A Long Week

He is happy that the hair dresser got his mullet how he wanted it.

This week, and probably the next two, has been a little crazy. Police Officers have CRAZY amounts of training to do EVERY year, which is why it is SO ANNOYING when you hear "oh, the police need more training". No, they don't. More than likely the training that is being whined about is already being done. They just sound ignorant for suggesting it. It just shows that very little research goes into seeing what training is already required. Anyways, thanks to D being ill the first part of the year, he has tons of training to make up. I am not kidding when I say they have at least 2 weeks worth of all day training that they do every year! Thank God we only have 5 years left before he can retire! Basically, the next few weeks D doesn't get a day off. He has to go in on his off days to train all day.

My Aunt gave me a cookbook for Christmas by Brenda Gantt and we have been busy while D is at work trying different recipes. She makes making homemade buttermilk biscuits look so easy that I actually tried it. And guess what? It was pretty easy and super yummy! We also tried her pineapple cake recipe ( we made it gluten free to balance out the biscuits 😂). The cake was really good, but the biscuits were phenomenal! Our Aunt just sent us her newest cookbook and we have several recipes we are going to try. I just like that most of the stuff she makes is not only good, but also fairly easy.

These were really good. Brenda also uses the same dough for fried pies and dumplings.

It made a lot of cake, but it was really good and easy to make.

L has her graduation ceremony this weekend and also the church will recognize seniors during the service and then will cater a lunch for them. We are planning her actual graduation celebration for late June. We are going to invite our family and friends to come celebrate with us over BBQ and fireworks ( we have a ton since last year over July 4th we had Covid).

My almost adult and actual adult children begged me to stop and let them play at the park. This park was a super dangerous park! It was designed for older children/adults!

Unfortunately, she really hit her head hard on the pole at the top so we are watching for signs of a concussion. She is so accident prone.

They all had blast and want to come back.

The Zipline is always a favorite!

I literally went back to get a sock I dropped and came back and Noelle was like this. I am shocked the basket didn't tip over!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
