The Bunch Start Birthday Week

Happy birthday to me!

The first birthday up is mine. It was a little different this year. Don't misunderstand me, I was still 24, but L was super busy with school and A had to work. We decided to meet A for lunch at Schlotzchy's by her work. I hadn't eaten there in well over a decade and wanted to try it. It wasn't as good as I remembered, but it was really fun to see A in the middle of the day. She wanted to make it a monthly thing, which will be fun, but probably not feasible during basketball season. L did make time to go out to lunch with us and even made me a chocolate zucchini gluten free cake plus some biscotti.🥰 She has been so crazy swamped with school and I am afraid she is going to burn out. She seems to be getting good grades though and really loves her design art class. She has a ton of projects in it, but she really likes doing stuff like that so it's fun for her. It's just VERY time consuming. I also relaxed and watched a Hallmark movie. I love me some Hallmark! I know it's predictable and the ending will be happy.

A just started school and so far seems to be doing ok. Her school is just frustrating because they NEVER send the books out until AFTER school starts so she is missing her books for the first week every time, which is very frustrating!

T has had a cough for the past two weeks and is tired of it. The doctor doesn't want to do antibiotics because there isn't an infection. It's allergy related so he has been taking an allergy pill every day plus steroids and his nebulizer. At least the cough sounds productive now, but I need to put a sign on him that says "Allergies, NOT COVID." We've been getting some looks.😂 We also finally got into a pediatric cardiologist to do his echo stress test. Yay! We should know definitively afterwards whether his Pectus is causing any issues that need to be addressed or if it still is so mild that it shouldn't cause any issues. We had a tournament this past weekend with back to back intense games and he had no problems, but the coach also played everyone exactly half of each game (broken into alternating quarters), which when the games count and they really need him, he'll play most of the game. The coach told the other boys that T had the best move of the game, plus he also scored the first points of either team. He may also have led in scoring. I know he scored a lot, but since we don't keep stats on pre-season stuff I am not 100% sure. He was definitely in the top two if he wasn't the offensive leader.

My parents always take us out to dinner to celebrate the three of our birthdays.

My Daddy turns 80 this year and they still get around really well

A was super happy to meet us all for lunch.💗

T had a bright idea💡.....😂

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
