The Bunch Had to Cancel Their Camping Trip Last Minute

6 years later and I FINALLY get ONE apple😂

We have been crazy busy and on an emotional rollercoaster ride this past month, but the last week has probably been the most difficult of all of our lives. We found L. I can't go into details because it might compromise the investigation, but a hospital called us when they became suspicious of the circumstances of her arrival. She is currently safe and in an inpatient mental health facility for the foreseeable future. I can say she was not taking illegal drugs or suicidal. She is there for other reasons. I cannot divulge anymore than that until everything has played out.

T has been busy trying to figure out what to carve into our pumpkins this year. He wants us to all carve the Simpsons. I think it might be neat so we'll probably do that. I can't wait to show you guys our finished product, but we won't actually do it until closer to Halloween. T is also working on perfecting his guitar music for his Christmas concert. All the kids were required to learn an instrument in highschool. A did violin, L did piano, and T picked guitar. Their second year after learning, they have to do a Christmas concert for family of at least 2 songs. I think T has picked 5 songs so far for his concert! He really loves that he knows how to play guitar and he's really good!

A has a wedding this weekend to go to that is for one of her close friends. It is crazy that her friends are starting to get married. I feel so old. She has been doing well. Apparently, her work has been crazy busy and they have been short staffed so she has been a little stressed out, but she still really loves her work and I am so happy that she lucked out in finding such a great place to work that treats their employees wonderfully. I have told her that most places don't treat the employees as well as they do there. They even make up gift baskets to give each employee on their yearly anniversaries of working there. They also buy sonic Happy hour drinks for every employee everyday, buy a treat for the office to celebrate birthdays ( birthday person gets to pick the treat), and never make anyone drive in weather they feel uncomfortable in. There is many more things they do too, but these are just a few of the special ones. It is a really great place.

D is home again this year on FMLA. He had to take it to deal with all the current craziness we have. He was constantly having to leave work early to deal with serious stuff that I cannot deal with especially with T having to be with me. Both our kids ( yes even the 20 year old) are TERRIFIED to be at the house by themselves now so we don't leave them alone. I am installing several cameras around the perimeter of the house and inside the house so hopefully that will help them feel safer.  We may end up moving if we can't feel safe in our own home anymore. I love it here, but this craziness has ruined the feeling of our house being a relaxing safe haven.

I hope everyone's week goes better than ours. I would say it can't get any worse, but I keep getting proved wrong so please understand if my blog posts are more sporadic for a bit.

The bunny honestly thinks it's our pet! He even gets in the coop with Murdoch!

She cannot stand it when anything new is somewhere she knows it doesn't belong!

The Bunch's Streak Of Bad Luck Continues

We made great time on the way there! It's amazing how leaving only 30 minutes later can help immensely with traffic. I wish all the shows started at 8 instead of 7:30.  What a week this was! We went to Bass Hall to see Back to the Future. It was ok. Definitely not the best play we have seen. The boys went with us and since the last two shows they joined us for were The Outsiders, which is one of, if not our most, favorite show ever, and A Christmas Story, which is in probably in the top 6, they were really not impressed. However, we still had a nice time doing something different together.  We love Bass Hall❤️ We had opening night tickets and got a GREAT deal! I went in this week and had my polyps removed plus they did a biopsy. I was more sore and for longer than I anticipated. Yes, the doctor said recovery was about 10 days, but I really only anticipated maybe 3-4. Boy, was I wrong! It's been 7 days now and by 10 I think I will be completely back to normal. Unfortunately, sh...

The Bunch Have A Fun Week!

D had his awards banquet at a BBQ place we had been wanting to try for awhile. The food was really delicious and not greasy at all.  We have had a lot of expenses thrown at us lately. We bought our new appliances , which were well planned for. However, after that we had 2 cars to get repaired, one of which   was decided that it was too expensive and would make more sense to get a newer, stronger, younger one, I have to get some polyps removed, we owe uncle Sam money for the first time ever (thanks to the rule about the year a child turns 17 you lose the child tax credit even if the majority of the year they are 16), and lots of other little things. You know how it goes...when it rains it pours. Since we were unable to take the rv out because of the tow vehicle being unable to tow with a heavy load, more like us not wanting to risk trying, and since A had a day off work, we decided to go on an adventure to do something that none of us ever had done before. We started with...

The Bunch Say Goodbye

Aunt P picked a lovely cemetery. It was so beautiful and peaceful. For the past 8 years or so we have helped our Aunt P.  We have had numerous visits and conversations over the years, not to mention dinners and root beer floats. We have watched her physical health decline while her mental health was still sharp as tack. Sadly, the last month of her life she had started to have several moments where she didn't know what was going on. We had numerous conversations about her death with her and we are very happy in knowing that she finally has the relief she wanted. The past year in particular was VERY hard on her and she needed help more. D and I would visit almost every Wednesday and Saturday, plus whenever she called for help. It was nice to talk to her. She was witty, smart, knew the answer to just about anything, and did a wonderful job of making you feel special and loved. I once told her that I would really miss our chats when she was gone...I will. I really enjoyed getti...
