The Bunch Celebrate D's Award And Get Ready For Nationals

T had fun with Grandpa! His sole mission is to beat Grandpa at Madden one day....this was NOT that day!🤣

We have had a crazy busy week trying to get everything done we need to get done before we leave, plus L had a set back this week so we also had to deal with that. It's only Tuesday, but this feels like the LONGEST week! We attended the annual banquet that D's work has every year. We thought we were just getting a dinner out, but to our surprise D won an award! We weren't expecting that, but it was a fun surprise. He works hard and it's nice when it's recognized. However, the pics of the guys who have been there 15+ years seriously needs to be updated! There was one guy who's pic had crazy amounts of hair and when he went up there he was pretty much grey and bald! D's wasn't too much better, but it least it still obviously resembled him. They had a nice buffet with turkey, potatoes, and cobbler. Since I had to eat Gluten Free and wasn't sure what the buffet would include D ordered me the vegetarian dish which was quinoa and green beans. It was really good, but boy did they give me a ton of it! Overall, it was a nice night. We talked with one of his coworkers we have known for years, and D got his award. I dropped L and T off at my parents house to spend some quality time with them while we were at the banquet since they live just down the street from where it was held.

My vegetarian dish...it was actually really good.

My wonderful husband getting recognized for his hard work ❤️

We also managed to get T's little garden tilled before the handle on the tiller we got from D's Grandpa (circa 1964) broke off. We already have a replacement handle so hopefully it is pretty easy to fix and we can get the big garden tilled when we get back from Nationals. We planted onions and carrots in the little garden and plan on okra, zucchini, and cantaloupe in the big garden.

D has been working tons of overtime lately to help with unexpected expenses. We basically have had to get new tires for every vehicle and trailer plus had a few other expenses pop up. I really look forward to visiting Springfield. T has his one game a day early in the morning so we will basically have all day to do fun stuff. We plan to spend at least one day in Branson. It is one of our favorite places, though I think T just really likes it for the fantastic fudge!😂

The weather should be nice most of the time we're there so this year we can actually do some outside stuff!

T has gotten really good at guitar. Lately, he's been working on his Guns N Roses stuff. 😂

L's latest art project. It is made from the paint color samples at the home improvement store....we had to go twice. She plans to enter it in an art exhibition next month. It is 18x24 inches so it's pretty large.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
