The Bunch Have A Busy Week

H took this picture and I love it💕 My boys🥰

This week was interesting. We went to T's basketball meeting that talks about the season and practices, orders uniforms, and basically just covers what to expect for the year. We were thrown completely off guard when it turns out the evil man who groomed L had enrolled his daughter on one of the teams. I wish the DA office would move faster, but it is what it is I guess. D called recently to check on it and was told they are still reviewing the charges. Basically, we just told everybody the truth which is that he is looking at 2 counts of enticing a child and to be very careful around him. I am not sure what exactly they can do since he hasn't been formally charged yet, but at least everyone will be wary of him. In fact, several people said they won't let their child play if he is part of the team. At least if he is allowed to stay, we will only see them in passing at tournaments. He knew we were part of that organization and I am positive this is just him being a bully. We'll see what action, if any, they are able to take.

We also celebrated T's birthday with his friends this weekend. T wanted to go to the lake and have a cookout with his friends. We invited his whole basketball team, his friends from church, plus their parents and siblings. He had about 8 of his friends and their families come and we had a great time!  It was a lot busier than we anticipated, but we arrived about an hour before the party started and we were able to snag a cabana so we had a good amount of shade, plus the wind was pretty strong. Overall, it wasn't too bad. We had brought a bunch of camping chairs, a folding table, and some outdoor rugs. We set up a cozy little area to talk and the kids enjoyed swimming, playing volleyball, and throwing the football around. I brought a cooler full of Gatorades and another one with water. The Gatorade was completely gone by the end, but we had several waters left. D spent about an hour grilling all the hot dogs and hamburgers  we brought plus we had cupcakes for dessert. The wind made grilling a little hard, but D got it done. I brought chips too, but hardly anyone ate those. I am not sure if they just weren't seen or if no one eats chips anymore. They kept blowing away so I had to put them in the wagon and even though I told everyone I am not too sure they were listening. I hope they didn't think I was only serving a hamburger or a hot dog! We brought 24 of each and still have several left. I think the heat made everyone not as hungry. T had been looking forward to his party for awhile and I was so happy that so many kids showed up and that they had such a great time!!!

The breeze and the shade made it ALMOST pleasant. I mean it still was like 98 after all.

H brought her fishing gear and tried fishing off the pier. I think it was just too busy though because the fish weren't biting.

C learned the hard way that Ray Roberts lake has more than one park! He ended up on the wrong end of the lake and had to back track. 😂

It was so windy we just pretended the candle was lit!😂

T and his best buds

What a wonderful day!

This week is my birthday and I think I am just going to relax and watch Hallmark, though T and I might venture to meet A for lunch during her break. We're also going to see Harry Potter in the theaters this week. Cinemark is showing them all in the theaters and A really wanted to experience it so her and T picked their favorite one and got tickets for us to see it. So far it's just us and 3 other people 😂.  I guess Harry Potter isn't quite what it use to be. A and I are counting down to our Girls trip! We are super excited!!!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
