The Bunch Recover from Last Week

Last week was an extremely active week for us ( me in particular). I try to live life like I use to, but my body no longer cooperates. I had a spoon deficit last week and paid for it this week (you fellow chronic illness followers will understand that statement, if you don't understand the spoons then I envy you). Basically, this week was a recovery week.  I generally don't talk about my fibromyalgia, but unfortunately it is still here making its ever annoying presence known. Constantly reminding me that I am not the old me and I have to say I really hate it. It is like this super annoying friend that won't ever leave my side. I am learning to live with it, but sometimes it doesn't listen to me and even though I have been "good", it still gives me the finger and makes me feel about 85. So because I maxed out last week, this week we really did not go anywhere or do anything. I was just too tired. The kids like my "lazy days" and have no problem laying around and watching TV with me. They are also super sweet and pick up the slack when I just can't. They are constantly helping me with my chores by either doing dishes, folding laundry, or making a meal. I really don't know what I would do without them. I make it up to them on my good days, but I hope they understand how much I mean it when I say they are really appreciated.
D and Maisy were tired too. It made me feel better that I wasn't the only one.
Maisy lost something under the couch that she really wanted, but L couldn't find anything.

This week we put back anything from the fun jar that required us to go somewhere. The only place we did go that we drew was to the donut store. The kids would have let me not go, but they had been so great all week that I pulled it together enough to take them, plus other than the drive into town , it didn't require much effort. Our little donut shop is really neat. It has all sorts of elaborate donuts plus the regular ones. Since our kids usually only are allowed donuts on their birthday, the extra special decorations make our birthday trips extra special. We also drew a make temporary tattoos and A used her tattoo pens to draw on us. It was a fun low key afternoon. We watched Scoob too.  I knew the kids would love it, but I found it had several funny parts for me as well. The girls and I also finished the Love Comes Softly Series for the second time. I told you we didn't do much, but watch TV this week. Hopefully, this week we will be able to get out and enjoy the cooler less humid weather. I have to say this is one of the best Texas Summers we have had in a long time. Don't get me wrong, it's hot, but not bad Texas hot. If the pandemic wasn't an issue, we would be out enjoying the milder summer by visiting water parks and the lake frequently.
The icing is flavored too.
L loves to try some of their different creations. Everything is edible.

T wanted a bee, but A was out of yellow and black ink.

L picked a rose and a butterfly.

I just picked a butterfly.

Have a great week everyone!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though...

The Bunch Celebrate T's 16th Birthday

Three Birthdays in 10 days I cannot believe the baby of the family is 16! Actually, I can't believe they are all as old as they are. C will be 31 this year, A turns 21 tomorrow, L is 18, and little baby T is 16! It has been a wonderful ride and I was very blessed to be able to spend 24/7 with my kids while they were little. I have wonderful memories of all the times we shared. While the last year has been the hardest of our lives, it's been nice to see us all rally together and we have become even more appreciative of each other. T will just randomly stop to hug us and tell us he loves us.🥰 A is so very helpful and thoughtful and C is great about calling and keeping us updated on how they're doing way out in Bonham. I love my kids! We have decided to give pickleball a try as a family. Considering we've never even watched a game, our first lesson should be interesting!  He has gotten so good at guitar! My parents celebrate our birthdays every year by treating us to di...
