The Bunch Celebrate my Birthday

Now that I am a couple of decades into celebrating my 24th birthday I think we have really been able to get it right. I must say I was a little heartbroken this year when for the first time in about 8 years my youngest daughter didn't surprise me with her homemade decorations. The past several years she has awakened before me and hung her homemade signs all over the house. I realize how hard she worked on crafting each one and how she worked so hard just to make me happy. I knew one day she would outgrow that stage and I am a little sad that this was that year. My youngest daughter is becoming a young woman and will no longer hand color my birthday signs. She did make me a beautiful card though and I will treasure it.
Birthday Day started early 🎈🎉

No big deal for my youngest. He is always up early.

My eldest daughter is ......less of a morning person.

Isn't he cute? He totally gets his Mama.

Her card almost matches my tattoo.

This year D was able to take off all of birthday week. That is because of Covid. No, we don't have it, but it is causing our normally wandering family to stay put for months on end, at least for big trips, so he has a ton of vacation time we can use to just relax. We are pretty much caught up on all our house projects so we have a lot of down time to play games and watch movies. My birthday started early thanks to a horrible warm streak we are having. With a forecast of 106 and a heat index of 112, the birthday hike at the lake I wanted started at 7am. We hiked for about an hour which was about 3.15 miles. It was already becoming miserably hot by the time we finished. Afterwards we came back to the house and my wonderful cute husband made us egg and potato burritos. We also bought the When Calls the Heart season that I have wanted to see. Later we went back to the lake to swim and play for a couple of hours and picked up yummy Mexican food for dinner. It was a perfect day, except for L no longer making her beautiful signs. She did make me a gluten free lemon cake though and it was fantastic. I love lemon flavors. This was definitely in the top 5 of my best 24th birthdays!
Our early hike begins.

It was pretty and secluded.

Not really sure what the guys were fighting about, but obviously didn't include L.

They just realized I was taking pictures.

The girls got me an apron. I love it.

Believe it or not the cylinder held my new Casper pillow D got me. I really love it!

His burritos turned out so good even on my gluten free tortillas.

We had fun at the lake. A didn't join us because she hates swimming.

We had fun for a couple of hours though.

It was literally us and one other family. I love this beach.

We picked up Mexican food on the way home 🏡. Yummy!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
