The Bunch Get School Ready and Visit the Zoo

Oh, what great pics we get now! I love their smiles ❤️💗💓

Wow! This has been such a great week. Not only were the temps down, but we also lost a lot of the humidity. In fact, one morning the temp for our morning dog walk was only 67! In August! In Texas! I was actually cold and wanted a jacket. The afternoons were warm, but bareable. We are now back to our normal really hot and super humid summer weather, but we enjoyed it while it lasted. One day we even went to the zoo. Our zoo is never busy and we only saw about 9 other people while we were there so I felt safe. It was nice to get out and enjoy part of the day without experiencing heat exhaustion. One afternoon we played in the backyard with the kids. T had the time of his life throwing the football with his dad and L performed on the lyra.

T had so much throwing the ball with his dad.

L actually practices a lot on the Lyra.

He is really just a big kid.

Awwww. A Covid selfie.

It really just doesn't look comfortable.

Iris, the horse, is doing very well. T even rode her bareback for a bit. It took us over a year, but she is finally doing really well. Unfortunately, while she was out in the main pasture, she was spooked. She took off at a full run and basically just ran over the poor mini donkey. It really scared me because I just saw Iris not slow down, poor little Gwen's legs flip over her body, and then Gwen on her back with her bright white belly showing. However, Gwen got up immediately and for the past 2 days has behaved normally. Amazingly, Iris seems fine too. I thought for sure the collision would set us back on all her progress, but she is still walking around just fine. I still gave them their horse ibuprofen though, just in case.

Aren't they cute?

Ride 'em Cowboy!

L messing around on the Lyra didn't even phase Iris. She did great!

The babies are FINALLY laying eggs. Ok. Only one so far has actually laid an egg, but all of them are doing the egg squat so they should start laying soon. Ironically, the only one we thought might be a rooster was the first one to lay an egg. She still acts like roo though.

The little brown one is the baby egg and the blue one is a normal egg.

We start back to school on Monday. I am so happy we had no adjustments for school when the pandemic hit. Our school(other than sports) was completely unaffected. A is a senior this year and wants to be certified as a Vet Tech. L is a sophomore and thinks she wants to be an aerial arts instructor ( the previous 5 years she wanted to be a pediatric nurse so we'll see). T is in 7 th grade and doesn't want to go to college. He wants to be an Elvis impersonator. 😂

Found a mustache sticker....yeah we're bored.

Cute! She was in her chicken cleaning outfit.

We have several watermelons 🍉 ready....all weigh AT LEAST 30lbs!!!!

 Super yummy.

L made several earrings

She worked really hard.

The girls bought new dresses from the boutique.

Have a  great week 😊

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
