The Bunch Are Allowed to RESUME Life!!

Woohoo! We are officially negative and can go back to our normal life! I must say it is EXTREMELY freeing to able to go about town and not be petrified about catching the dreaded Covid 19. I will get the vaccine in a few months just in case my immunity doesn't last very long. We did not have any "severe" symptoms. No breathing issues, no coughing, no fever, but I just felt so bad for so long that I will do whatever precaution might work just to avoid it. We all still are suffering lingering side effects. D and I still don't fully have back our taste and smell, but thankfully it is returning slowly. We all get winded and tired a lot easier than we use to. In fact right before we had Covid 19, I was doing a 30 minute HIIT or Kickboxing class everyday. Now, I struggle (legitimately struggle and have to pause multiple times) through what I use to consider an easy workout day. The girls also struggle a lot more to keep up at their volleyball practice. It is very frustrating and I hope it goes away soon. I never want it again and will do whatever I need to make sure that I hopefully don't. The length of recovery isn't just a few days, but multiple weeks. It's not worth chancing it; I'll take the annual vaccine!

The kids are out of school now and summer is officially here. YAY!! We plan to get a chore done in the mornings and draw from the fun jar in the afternoons. Today we drew play games (no electronic ones). We played several card games, LIFE (which we made up crazy fun rules to make it more fun) and played basketball. T was super excited we played basketball because no one ever goes outside to play ball with him very often. He wanted to play 2 on 2, but the girls and I informed him that wasn't happening and we settled on HORSE and Around the World. T, not surprisingly, won both, but shockingly L gave him a run for his money. She use to be horrible at basketball. Like really really bad, but she has finally learned how to throw the ball with enforce to get to the basket and she made the most shots of all of us (just not necessarily when it counted).

A's graduating class

What a beautiful smile!

That's our baby girl!

We spent the last couple of months making sure A had filled out all her necessary paperwork for her financial aid. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to D and I, when the school sent her financial aid package she only accepted her grant money and turned down her loans because she "doesn't want to pay interest". I told her that she doesn't have a job so I wasn't sure how she thought she would be able to pay for her classes if she didn't "pay interest".  The past 2 weeks we have been trying to get her loans reinstated. I think she finally did see that they were yesterday. We could pay for it ourselves since the veterinary technician certificate is through the Dallas Community College, but D and I paid for our schooling ourselves and I think it made me work harder to do well since I was paying for it. We decided that the kids can be responsible and pay their own tuition. We also aren't rigid about them attending college. They need more schooling than just highs school, but there is a lot of great certifications that earn a good income and we will be just as excited for them to do that. Maybe more so since they'll have less debt.

We splurged a little to celebrate all the kids making AB honor roll and I bought tickets to see Wicked at Dallas Fair Park in August. We got really good seats and are super excited about seeing it. We have wanted to see it for years, but it hasn't come here. My Aunt told us years ago how great it was and we really have wanted to see it; now, we finally get to go see it! We have something to finally look forward to!

It is STILL raining here almost everyday. The poor horses and chickens have almost no where dry to go. T thinks it is raining for 40 days and 40 nights. He might be right. The next 10 days has rain chances everyday (fairly decent chances). I am so sick of mud, flies, and mosquitoes! I hope we get to dry out soon! I am so happy D and I sucked it up when we were still sick to move hay or I have no idea what we would do to feed the horses. It is so muddy it will take at least a week of full sun to dry out enough for us to get a hay delivery. At least I have a couple of weeks before we have to worry about it again.

During our month long Covid quarantine, we noticed Noelle had out grown her baby kitty bed.

So we built her a new one(complete with a hammock) from some old IKEA tables and materials we had laying around...she will only lay UNDER the hammock and still sneaks off to sleep in her baby bed.

Happy Summer!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
