The Bunch Finish Birthday Week

She said she was tired of eating cake from birthdays so she wanted vegan ice cream. It is my favorite ice cream too! So Delicious sea salt caramel ...yummy!

A was able to finish school early on her actual birthday so we celebrated a little more with her that afternoon. She also started her volunteer hours at the animal shelter. She went to walk the dogs for a couple of hours and said that just while she was there that two more animals were dropped off. Most of the dogs didn't want to walk with her. They just wanted to be loved on and cuddled for a bit. She took pics of EVERY single dog she walked. They were all so cute and so happy to have her paying attention to them. I want to go and help her love on the animals, but I actually have the power to bring them home and I don't really want any more animals. We'll see if the kids and I start helping her out at the shelter. A is doing well in college so far. She has two A's in English and an 85 in Alegebra.  She takes her first certification test for her vet tech degree on Friday.  Her English class is only 8 weeks so she is halfway through. Her days should get a little easier after that.

L started the student choir at church last week. We now go to the evening service after her choir instead of the morning service which kind of threw off our routine, but since getting to church is about 30 miles one way, it makes since to not make two trips every Sunday. She will perform in the morning services a few times this year. Unlike A, L is super excited about starting to drive in January. I wish I could say I am ready to do it all again, but it was a lot with A last time. At least, L's eagerness is a drastically better than A's crying! A, actually, does really well now with driving. She drives herself to the church's college night every Tuesday, to the animal shelter to work, and out to go shopping with her sister. She still stays away from busy areas and doesn't go anywhere, but to the very north side of Denton. I can't blame her though, even I hate driving in really busy areas.

T starts his first team basketball practice this week. Luckily for us, they moved practice from Aubrey to Denton so we will save about 30 minutes of driving time and they moved practice to 4-6, which means we also are able to get home and eat dinner before 9 pm. His team plays all over North Texas. His first actual game with his team is some tournament in Frisco, where they play 4 games in 2 days! I will have to pack more games and things to do in my purse because so far we play Moose Farkle at every practice while we are waiting and we are getting tired of it. Luckily, Aunt S sent us several new card games for Christmas that we love so I am going to start rotating the games out so we have something different to do each week.

We took T shopping for some fall clothes. He calls this his "PaPa" outfit. He even completed it by putting his eye glass case in the front pocket of his shirt.😂

We take our first trip without A next week so we'll see how it goes. We are only going to the lake that is down the street so we won't be far if she needs us.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
