The Bunch Are Ready For Vacation!

First things first: the cat is completely back to normal. She meows and purrs loudly and, unfortunately, is still interested in the laundry room. Her new annoying trait this week is getting on top of my upper cabinets. My kitchen ceiling is irregularly shaped so the cabinets are not able to be flush with the ceiling. We keep our cereal on top of the refrigerator.  I know the cereal is low once the cat can successfully maneuver around them to jump on top of the fridge and then jump on top of the cabinets. I now have random things from around the house on top of my fridge until I go grocery shopping  so she can't get up there. I swear watching her is like watching a toddler.  She is always getting into things. She has some weird fascination with q-tips. We literally keep them locked up and yet somehow she still finds them to eat! We also recently saved her from choking on Easter grass. The cat is NOT normal. She also tries to eat needles from the sewing basket. She is very sweet, but can be quite a handful to watch.

We are taking L on her first senior trip in June. Because of several different reasons, instead of one big two week trip, like A had  when we went to Chicago, she is having 1 big week long trip and 2 short trips for her senior trip. She requested that her long trip be to the beach. She wasn't keen on the long drive to Pensacola, even though the beaches are absolutely stunning, but instead chose Galveston, which saves about 7 hours of driving time. We will be spending a week down there. I am not sure what all we will do, but feel fairly certain a large part will be at the beach, though our resort has a lazy river, pool, miniature golf, tennis, basketball, and several other fun things we can do there. D and I are not big beach people. D in particular hates the heat and sunshine, but the girls love the beach for some reason. I am just super excited to go on our first real trip in almost two years! We have done weekend camping at nearby state parks, which I love, but now we get to really get out and explore something new.

A found her first gray hair this week! She actually saved it to show everyone. At 18 she is NOT the youngest in our family to find their first gray hair. T has that record. He found his first TWO gray hairs at 8 years old. C found his first one at 14. D and I are way past counting how many we have! L is the only one who hasn't found one yet.

A's first gray hair.

She saved it to show everyone and was genuinely surprised it was curly and coarse.😂

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
