The Bunch Watch L GRADUATE!

Wow. She did it!

This was a momentous occasion 13 years in the making. L was my first child 100% homeschooled. I taught her at home from kindergarten to twelfth grade. I only supplemented by having her take geometry online, for no other reason than I loathe geometry. D helped out by doing all the kids science labs with them since his minor was in chemistry, though the kids swear he remembers nothing and is of no help.😂 Aren't kids great!?! L worked so hard studying and trying to do well. She made AB honor roll every year since 6th grade and graduated with a 3.68 ( which may change slightly after the last 3 grades are entered). I am VERY proud of her. She is fantastic at multitasking and getting things done, even if it's hard. I think she will excel at college! She has decided to pursue her passion and is going to get a degree in graphic design and photography. She has always been passionate about taking pictures of everything, especially food and animals. She has like 2000 photos of our cat....NOT KIDDING. I will be shocked if she doesn't work as a food photographer, like taking pictures of food for cookbooks etc... She has always had a good eye for a great photo.

T is such a goof ball.

We were so excited for her.

Aren't they a beautiful lot? 😍

A bought L a graduation gift. Again T is goof ball, just who he is.

A got L a book that they had loved in their childhood. Big Sis Little Sis. She also gave her a book of their adventures (from UP). It was so cute.

Her graduation ceremony was at the Allen Convention Center. We were number 59 of 62 graduates. Not quite the last one, but might has well have been. We didn't invite anyone to attend because tickets were $10 each ( yes, weirdly they charged) and it was not very senior friendly. There was lots of people, not much space, and long periods of standing. There was an after party celebration too, but we could not attend since we had to get up early the next morning to celebrate senior Sunday at our church. The seniors are brought in at the beginning of each service, prayed over, and celebrated. After the last service, the seniors get a catered lunch from Olive Garden for them AND their entire family. The church also puts together a slide show of each graduate showcasing their life at various ages. It was really sweet ( and a little sad 😢) . It goes by so fast. The days are long, but the years are short. Probably one of my most favorite sayings, now that I completely understand it.

We had to line up in alphabetical order which is pretty easy to do when EVERYONE except two people are in front of you.

There was A LOT of waiting. Fortunately, we snagged two chairs since we got there early and were able to take turns sitting for the next couple of hours until it started.

Still waiting

Waiting some more.

So proud.

L frustrates me like none of my other kids do, but it's probably because we are the most alike. I love her to pieces and I am very proud of her.

Congratulations sweetheart! You earned it!!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
