The Bunch Babies FINALLY Start Laying!!!

Baby hen egg next to a normal hen egg. Yes, we have chickens that lay blue and green eggs!

Obviously, that doesn't include Mr. Murdoch, though he has learned how to sing the egg song. He is very confused! After what has felt like an eternity, but in reality was just a super long 5 months, the new hens are starting to lay! So far only 3-4 of the 9 have started laying, but all of them should be laying within the next 2 weeks. The first eggs are about half the size of a normal egg, but after about 6 weeks they'll be normal size. All I know is caring for 21 chickens is a lot more work than caring for 12! I figured it would be pretty much the same stuff we have to do every day, but in reality it is the same stuff we were doing now we just do it twice as long! They are super fun to watch though and even though we are no longer worried too much about Mr. Bobcat, I still sometimes just sit out there with them in the morning and watch them.

Both T and L have completely recovered from their week at camp and fortunately no one was sick, just really tired. T has basketball tryouts this week, but I am not too worried about it. Something really bad would have to happen for him NOT to make the team. Speaking of basketball, T decided after all that he would cut his prize winning mullet. He felt the length was interfering with his ability to see in his peripheral vision. Apparently, third place out of a few hundred was enough and he's happy so off with the mullet!

The end of the mullet.

He has curly hair like me. It was so long I had to cut it with scissors before I could shave him.

Wow! He looks different!

My baby❤️💕💜

D spent hours redoing the fence, making the strands tighter, and adding an extra strand so that way the horses couldn't get in. As you see, everything went according to plan. Totally worth it.😂

T went to get new everyday shoes and this time we had his feet measured. It turns out he actually has a narrow foot, which made my choice to not order wide basketball shoes so much better. So as it turns out, our scientific foot measurement a couple weeks ago was accurate. 😂. He has now played in his new basketball shoes and loves them.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
