The Bunch See The Outsiders and Jump Around

The "wall" we're standing in front of is really just a curtain made to look like a wall!

We had a fun week! We have been pretty busy lately. The kids got their wish and we went ahead and put our outside Christmas decorations up. I will put the indoor ones up after Thanksgiving, though I probably won't put the tree up until after the first week of December and it will come down in the evening on Christmas day. The cats will NOT leave the tree alone when it's up so they pretty much drive us crazy whenever it's up! I am not sure what the extra excitement about Christmas is this year, but I am happy they are so excited to do our Christmas traditions like making cookies, watching our favorite holiday movies, and looking at lights. T already told me that he's listening to Christmas music!

The kids have enjoyed riding scooters, playing Mario, shooting archery, and shooting hoops together. I am glad they are having fun together! They even went to see a movie the other day.

Everything is a competition 😂

Poor A wasn't even close!

Besides starting to get ready for our most favorite time of year, we went to Fair Park to see the Outsiders. Yes, we really don't like Fair Park as a venue, but everyone one was interested in seeing the Outsiders and it's a national tour so we knew it would be packed. I was concerned when we pulled up at our normal 30 minutes before show time and already had to park in the farthest lot. There were multiple school buses there too! Normally when we arrive about 30 minutes early the first lot is only half full. We had balcony seats this time which I really liked. A and I were literally the first to the bathroom at intermission and if you have ever been there you know how crazy the bathroom lines get at intermission. The show itself was fantastic! The actors were really extraordinary and had great voices. Overall we had a great time and A got most of the cast's signatures. However, the normal handful of people waiting for signatures was about 300 this time and included most of the school bus girls shrieking every time someone walked out. It was a lot and we were ready for some quiet in the car when she was done.

We couldn't find the marquee to take our usual picture so this was as close as we could get.

It was such a good production! I highly recommend it.

We were just waiting around for the doors to open.

A was on my other side. My arms weren't long enough to get everyone in the previous picture!😂

We also went to Urban Air this week. Because of D's issues we haven't been able to go on T's senior trip yet. We plan to go in May/June. Since where he wants to go isn't super expensive or for very long he has some leftover money we're using to do fun family local things or day trips. He wanted to go play at Urban Air and get shakes. We decided to try a new park this time. We went to one in north Ft Worth. The ninja warrior course on this one was so much harder! This one also had some extreme slides that looked like fun. We played around for about 2 hours until our legs felt like jello and we were extremely sweaty. It was a lot of fun and we really earned our shakes later!

This warrior course was so much harder than the other one!

T completed 2 of the 3 courses but couldn't finish the last one because his grip wore out.

This last part was the part T couldn't get.

A almost completely finished one course. She did really well! They're hard! I elected not to try this.

We all had a blast jumping on the trampolines!

I bought Axl a new bed this week. It's called a pet and me bed. It's meant to be big enough for both of you to cuddle in it. It comes with a pillow and blanket. It's an orthopedic bed and Axl loves it. Actually, the kids love it to! They literally have been fighting over who gets to be in the bed. T wanted to pay me back for it so it could just be his bed, but A liked it because she could see all of the tv. I just let them work it out themselves. For the most part, the past couple of days they haven't fought as much, but then too A has been at work during the day and T had to do things in the evening so they aren't home at the same time.

Axl loves his new cuddle bed!

So does A!

Chili's has a Wicked themed drink that was so cute I had to try it. The pink is dragon fruit and green is sour apple.

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving next week and the holiday season. We are really excited about going to Bass Hall to see A Christmas Story live instead of watching it on TV. It's one of the boys favorite Christmas movies. I can't believe another year has flown by! Where does time go?

Have a great week!

The slides were crazy! I climbed up and down twice for this one and chickened out every time, much to A's annoyance. There was a blue twisty slide that dropped them off like 8 ft from the ground. I didn't go on that one either and everyone else did it once and deemed it not worth it.

The Bunch Have A Fun Week!

D had his awards banquet at a BBQ place we had been wanting to try for awhile. The food was really delicious and not greasy at all.  We have had a lot of expenses thrown at us lately. We bought our new appliances , which were well planned for. However, after that we had 2 cars to get repaired, one of which   was decided that it was too expensive and would make more sense to get a newer, stronger, younger one, I have to get some polyps removed, we owe uncle Sam money for the first time ever (thanks to the rule about the year a child turns 17 you lose the child tax credit even if the majority of the year they are 16), and lots of other little things. You know how it goes...when it rains it pours. Since we were unable to take the rv out because of the tow vehicle being unable to tow with a heavy load, more like us not wanting to risk trying, and since A had a day off work, we decided to go on an adventure to do something that none of us ever had done before. We started with...

The Bunch's Streak Of Bad Luck Continues

We made great time on the way there! It's amazing how leaving only 30 minutes later can help immensely with traffic. I wish all the shows started at 8 instead of 7:30.  What a week this was! We went to Bass Hall to see Back to the Future. It was ok. Definitely not the best play we have seen. The boys went with us and since the last two shows they joined us for were The Outsiders, which is one of, if not our most, favorite show ever, and A Christmas Story, which is in probably in the top 6, they were really not impressed. However, we still had a nice time doing something different together.  We love Bass Hall❤️ We had opening night tickets and got a GREAT deal! I went in this week and had my polyps removed plus they did a biopsy. I was more sore and for longer than I anticipated. Yes, the doctor said recovery was about 10 days, but I really only anticipated maybe 3-4. Boy, was I wrong! It's been 7 days now and by 10 I think I will be completely back to normal. Unfortunately, sh...

The Bunch Say Goodbye

Aunt P picked a lovely cemetery. It was so beautiful and peaceful. For the past 8 years or so we have helped our Aunt P.  We have had numerous visits and conversations over the years, not to mention dinners and root beer floats. We have watched her physical health decline while her mental health was still sharp as tack. Sadly, the last month of her life she had started to have several moments where she didn't know what was going on. We had numerous conversations about her death with her and we are very happy in knowing that she finally has the relief she wanted. The past year in particular was VERY hard on her and she needed help more. D and I would visit almost every Wednesday and Saturday, plus whenever she called for help. It was nice to talk to her. She was witty, smart, knew the answer to just about anything, and did a wonderful job of making you feel special and loved. I once told her that I would really miss our chats when she was gone...I will. I really enjoyed getti...
