Pickleball is always fun! |
Now that the weather has been nicer, albeit super windy, we have been trying to do our weekly pickleball match. Basically, this week whoever was playing with the wind won! We still have fun playing even when it is windy. In fact, playing in the wind probably makes us have more fun. The wind gusts sometimes pick the ball up and make it do some funny things, like getting the ball and pushing it back onto your side so you lose a point or blowing it three courts over! Luckily, we are usually the only ones there so it doesn't matter if we play across 4 courts. Afterwards, we usually go get some ice cream/ frozen yogurt and just enjoy our outing.
T went camping this weekend with his troop. They worked on orienteering, which I was super happy about since T needs to work on that something fierce, but unfortunately the boys in troop aren't much better than him at orienteering and the first guy oriented them upside down on the first one so they basically wasted 50 minutes and ended up in 3rd place because of that. He had a fun weekend with friends and I am happy he found a hobby he enjoys so much!
This was a nice recovery week for D. The 43 hours of overtime was quite draining on everyone. He still has more training, but those are more spread out and a little easier to handle. Overall, he has been doing well.
A and I went to go see Les Miserables at Bass Hall this weekend. I had never seen it before so I was unsure of what to expect, but it was FANTASTIC! Bass Hall is, of course, absolutely gorgeous, but the set designs were amazing! You could easily tell that this production had a big budget! Afterwards, us and the rest of Bass Hall went directly across the street to eat the Cheesecake Factory. This was my first experience with the Cheesecake Factory, but it was really good, and really expensive. I think they could tone down the menu a bit. There was so many choices and as someone who doesn't do well with excessive choices, it was a bit overwhelming. There is enough variety that we could go after every show and always try something new.

He doesn't understand he can't lie up there like Maisy does.😂

My parents treated A and I to lunch at Chili's. We had a great visit! |
On our way to Bass Hall. The drive is much easier than navigating Dallas. |
The garage we parked in was mostly empty. Side note: Ft Worth no longer has free garages on the weekends. |
The downtown area is really nice. It has almost a residential feel to it. |
Our, what is becoming customary, pre show selfie with the marque. |
Bass Hall is so gorgeous! And A looked beautiful in her fancy outfit ❤️ |
I was trying to get a selfie of the buildings in the background.😂 I need longer arms. |
The architecture of Bass Hall is so lovely! |
We were center mezzanine. The show was WONDERFUL! |
The main part was the only part that had an understudy perform and he blew it out of the water! I cannot imagine the principal actor could have been any better. He gave a Broadway worthy performance. |

She was so excited! She was able to get every main cast members autograph, including the phenomenal understudy!! |
