The Bunch Play Pickleball Again

I had to get A a wig since I got T a wig.....she looks good!

We have been just enjoying life the past couple of weeks. I honestly just forgot about updating the blog last week. We made it to our weekly pickleball game after missing the past two weeks. This time according to the kids " the world is as it should be". Yep, they won this time. They can't go next week though because T got them tickets to a show so D and I will get our practice time in. We'll see how the match the following week goes!

Sam's club has a year membership for $15 right now so we bought a membership to check it out. I haven't been to a Sam's since I had to buy diapers for the kids. The kids went with me to check it out and while we loved it, it was a bit overwhelming. I have been told the one by us is one of the biggest/busiest. I believe it! We went at 10:30am on a Thursday and it was crazy! The checkout was 30 people deep! There was so much to see. We just stuck to food and groceries this time. It took us about an hour to look at all that and then we were all ready to leave the mad house. We are going back this week to look at some of the other things. They sell appliances, clothes, decor, and pretty much everything else including the kitchen sink! I think we will like it, but I will see how much we drive all the way down there after the Tom Thumb in town opens up in December. We are so excited about having a real grocery store only 12 miles from us! The DG market opened up about 4 miles from us about 6 months ago, but they have a very small selection and are frequently out of items. It is way better than not having anything though. We are also excited about the new restaurants coming in the Tom Thumb shopping plaza. What we are NOT excited about is the 5000 apartments, townhomes, and houses going in. Our small town is rapidly becoming a suburb. We have been talking about moving farther out, even T has asked about it. We'll see. I plan to stay put until D retires from the force in 2.5 years, but I have learned that life doesn't ever follow my plans we will see what happens. Hopefully when all the annoying construction is done it won't bother us as much. After almost 2 years in a construction zone we are ready for them to be done!

For the first time in several years, A is going to go on some camping trips with us. She said she misses going. I am so excited! I love going on camping trips and having adventures with my family! She even seems willing for hiking, which she hates.

A had a wedding to go to. She goes to more weddings than I ever did!

T has been training her. She says she is in the best shape of her life....but she also says she can't fully extend her legs because her calves hurt too bad.😂

After their whooping last time we played, the kids took the title back from the "oldies".

The horse that didn't die....yet.

T is my helper when the farrier comes. I have no idea how I will do it alone next year when he's at College during the day.

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Celebrate Christmas

It's become tradition for T to wear a Santa hat on Christmas. Our Christmas was pretty low key. D was able to go in late so he was able to have Christmas with us before he went to work which was really nice. The kids and I packed up and moved Christmas brunch to C&H's house since he needs to stay close to home and we worried about the lack of emergency care both on the way to our house and while here. I made up a potato casserole ahead of time, brought stuff for garden scrambled eggs, and banana bread while H made a really good cranberry punch and some pigs in a blanket. I have to say for only 5 people we had a ton of food! In fact, T ate so much for brunch I don't think he really ate anything for the rest of the day. He also finished his very last hour of driving on his way back home! Driver's license here we come....next week! After the mess Axl made last time we left him in his crate, we reenforced the doors with zip ties. We also made sure to take him on a wal...

The Bunch Visit Family

We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.  We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit. We had a great day!🥰 We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗 We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. She's been under the weather and we hadn't had a visit in a couple weeks so it was nice t...
