The Bunch Visit Family

A found lots of glass soda bottles at World Market. T has created a glass bottle soda monster!

We had both a busy and fun week! The kids and I went to visit with my parents one afternoon. Truth be told, A, my mom, and I went to do some snooping at World Market. World Market is kind of like a rich man's Trader Joe's, but with less frozen food and more furniture. We hadn't been snooping around there in quite awhile. They have so many different things from other countries to try that the hard part is NOT getting too much in one trip. We got a couple of things we really liked, several that were ok, and a couple we spat out and threw the rest away. They had their advent calendars out already so now we're set for the holiday season, which is rapidly approaching. T stayed back at the house to play checkers with Grandpa. He is getting closer to winning! He said Grandpa's strategy is to take so long on his turn that you forget what you were doing.😂 He's not wrong. I always say I am going to bring a timer! You would think given the amount of time given to each move that they were playing chess!

T is growing taller and my Dad is shrinking. 😂

They were crazy intense.😂 Beating Grandpa at checkers is on T's bucket list.

They really enjoy each others company 🥰

They are also crazy competitive like everyone else in our family! T's plane made it the farthest. A said it was because of his "long monkey arms". 🤣

We also went out to celebrate birthdays (literally everyone's but D's) with my in laws. We grilled some chicken and had all the fixins. It was a great afternoon! D started falling asleep in his chair before left so I knew it was time to start the trek home. Unfortunately, A was on call and couldn't go with us. My in laws are about 2 hours from her work and that is just too far for her to be when she is on call. She was sad to miss out on our visit. Next time I will double check so that she can come.

T working on a physics lab.

My mother in law is FINALLY retired!!

We made a 5 layer dessert to celebrate all our birthdays (except D).

We had a fun afternoon! I even got to see the very last baby calf that they will EVER have. She is really cute!

I took T to the lake for his last swimming requirement for scouts. He had to use his jeans to make a floatation device and float for one minute. Now for all those times we go swimming with our jeans on, he can make a life jacket.🙃

I was the production crew. Still loving my chair!

We also went to go see Avatar Way of the Water again. It came back to theaters for one week this past week to prepare us for the new Avatar coming out in December. We saw it twice originally when it came out. The 3D effects are just astounding! The ocean scenes are breathtaking. We are looking forward to seeing the new one....in 3D of course! A is also really excited about the new Wicked movie coming out. She absolutely loves the first one and has basically talked about this one since we saw the last one. Unfortunately, the movie is 3 hours long and was in the middle of our normal pickleball day so we didn't play again this week. I think the kids and I might go play while D is at work later this week. We miss playing! It is loads of fun.

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Celebrate Christmas

It's become tradition for T to wear a Santa hat on Christmas. Our Christmas was pretty low key. D was able to go in late so he was able to have Christmas with us before he went to work which was really nice. The kids and I packed up and moved Christmas brunch to C&H's house since he needs to stay close to home and we worried about the lack of emergency care both on the way to our house and while here. I made up a potato casserole ahead of time, brought stuff for garden scrambled eggs, and banana bread while H made a really good cranberry punch and some pigs in a blanket. I have to say for only 5 people we had a ton of food! In fact, T ate so much for brunch I don't think he really ate anything for the rest of the day. He also finished his very last hour of driving on his way back home! Driver's license here we come....next week! After the mess Axl made last time we left him in his crate, we reenforced the doors with zip ties. We also made sure to take him on a wal...

The Bunch Visit Family

We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.  We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit. We had a great day!🥰 We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗 We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. She's been under the weather and we hadn't had a visit in a couple weeks so it was nice t...
