The Bunch Deal With A Being Sick

This week took an unexpected turn. After such a wonderful Thanksgiving week, we were surprised on Tuesday when A started complaining about feeling tired and generally not good. We had had plans to go see the new Wicked movie, which she was ecstatic about and had been greatly looking forward to. I knew it was serious when I said I would postpone the movie until next week and she didn't put up a fight. By that afternoon she had a fever, aches, chills, sweats, and a cough. She basically spent 3 days being completely miserable. Her fever finally broke on Thursday so Friday she went to work with her bottle of DayQuil and some ibuprofen. She made it through the day (barely according to her) and came home and fell asleep by about 7 pm.  She slept until 8 this morning! She is doing a lot better. The fever is gone, the coughing is gone, and she managed to get up a few times to get some stuff done. We have big plans for tomorrow so I have just been trying to keep everyone else from being sick. I have following her around with the Lysol spray and hand sanitizer relentlessly! 

T and I finished up with school this week and are officially on Christmas break until January! ⛄🎉 Christmas movies, lights, and cookies here we come!

Maisy loves couch cuddles still. She still can get up here by herself.... ALMOST every time.

I had to sit on my throne while waiting for cheese steaks.

The Bunch Start Birthday Week

  Yes, my Mom had my name misspelled on the cake.😂 It was still yummy so it was all good. T, A, and I all have our birthdays within a week and a half. Which means there is a crazy amount of sugar within those 10 days. We always like to make whoever's birthday it is feel special for the day. We watch what they want,do activities they like, eat what they pick, do their chores for them, etc. It not usually too expensive, but just a fun day where it's focused on them. The kids use to use their days to rule like little kings and queens, but have become a lot calmer in their "old" age since they get to do whatever they want most of the time anyways. We are a pretty close family and do a lot of things together all the time anyways, but on birthdays we still make sure we defer to the birthday boy/girl. The Bunch Visit Family

  We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.  We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit. We had a great day!🥰 We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗 We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. The Bunch Have A Fantastic Week!

  Pickleball is always fun! Now that the weather has been nicer, albeit super windy, we have been trying to do our weekly pickleball match. Basically, this week whoever was playing with the wind won! We still have fun playing even when it is windy. In fact, playing in the wind probably makes us have more fun. The wind gusts sometimes pick the ball up and make it do some funny things, like getting the ball and pushing it back onto your side so you lose a point or blowing it three courts over! Luckily, we are usually the only ones there so it doesn't matter if we play across 4 courts. Afterwards, we usually go get some ice cream/ frozen yogurt and just enjoy our outing.  T went camping this weekend with his troop. They worked on orienteering, which I was super happy about since T needs to work on that something fierce, but unfortunately the boys in troop aren't much better than him at orienteering and the first guy oriented them upside down on the first one so they basically was...
