The Bunch Celebrate A

Happy Birthday A! She tried as many candles as she is old like T wanted. Unfortunately, she didn't get them all out in one blow. Apparently, the extra 5 candles makes it harder! Who knew?!?!

As birthday week concludes, we spent our time celebrating A turning 22. I can't believe she is 22! I am so very proud of her. She got through school, takes her job seriously and is well respected there, has a level head, and knows what she likes and what she doesn't.  She is also always thinking of others and remembering little things she thinks they might like. Her work told me, not knowing I was her mother, that she was the sweetest person there. It made my mama heart happy.

She is getting harder to shop for because she has plenty of things and plenty of money to buy things, though she doesn't because she is D's twin about NEVER buying anything.😂 The good news is she is really coming along on her savings for a down payment on a house because of it. She values trying new things and experiences. For her birthday, we decided to have a day of fun. We took her to see Downton Abbey, out for dinner, to play pickleball, and out for a soda. We also bought her the new Duck Dynasty season, craft sodas, and some other small things. We thawed our last 4 pieces of cake to sing her Happy Birthday with and they were just as yummy as the original too! I am very impressed with how well this chocolate cake froze. Since our day of fun was after her actual birthday, on her actual birthday T, D, and I went up to her work to have lunch at her favorite mom and pop sandwich shop that she has been telling us about for the past few months. It was super yummy! I love cute little shops on the downtown square in small towns.

It was very exciting to finally get to play pickleball again! It had been over 2 months since the last time we played because it's just too hot in the summer, even playing the early game from 9-10 am is too hot in the full sun in Texas in the summer so we stopped until it got cooler. Lately, even though it still warms up to the mid 90s, the mornings are cool enough to play. We had so much fun! We had really missed it.  As D put it " the old people beat the whipper snappers".🤣 D and I WON 2 of the 3 matches and now the kids have scheduled practice sessions together to practice before we play again as a family. Apparently, losing to the parents was their wake up call! Afterwards, we went to Braums per our usual, but no frozen yogurt. It was a little early for that so we had breakfast instead and a cherry limeade. The movie was good. Both T and A really like Downton Abbey so they really enjoyed it. I actually liked it too, but wasn't really sure what was going on. It was a nice day.

The pets always have to help. Axl is literally taller than A when he is sitting too! Gosh he's huge!

I am pretty sure Maisy isn't aware that A was a opening gifts.

My twinsies going out to have lunch with A.

A brought a trivia book about Broadway musicals to play with while we had lunch.

Apparently, my capturing the moment was ruining the fun.😂

D was upset that A didn't say anything about his sign before she left for work.

She did however say something about MiMi telling her she loved her.😂

Axl likes to cuddle with me on the couch but my arms aren't long enough to completely capture his cuteness. Basically, I get a corner and he gets the entire rest of the couch. I really don't think he knows how giant he is.

She only didn't blow out one.

They are best buds.❤️

We're so happy to get out and play again! It's a really fun family game.

Kids getting extra practice in while D and I are on a water break.

This didn't show that the next youngest person was about 86.😂 There were a few instances where they needed some help with getting to their seats and moving their oxygen tanks, but they settled in nicely once the movie started though and had a lot of fun judging from all the laughter.

You can always count on T to be a character!

Happy Birthday A! We love you very much!!

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Celebrate Christmas

It's become tradition for T to wear a Santa hat on Christmas. Our Christmas was pretty low key. D was able to go in late so he was able to have Christmas with us before he went to work which was really nice. The kids and I packed up and moved Christmas brunch to C&H's house since he needs to stay close to home and we worried about the lack of emergency care both on the way to our house and while here. I made up a potato casserole ahead of time, brought stuff for garden scrambled eggs, and banana bread while H made a really good cranberry punch and some pigs in a blanket. I have to say for only 5 people we had a ton of food! In fact, T ate so much for brunch I don't think he really ate anything for the rest of the day. He also finished his very last hour of driving on his way back home! Driver's license here we come....next week! After the mess Axl made last time we left him in his crate, we reenforced the doors with zip ties. We also made sure to take him on a wal...

The Bunch Visit Family

We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.  We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit. We had a great day!🥰 We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗 We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. She's been under the weather and we hadn't had a visit in a couple weeks so it was nice t...
