The Bunch Slow Down

This is the giant dog bed that T took outside to sleep in.😂

After the craziness of Deck week, we have really enjoyed our time relaxing! In fact, we haven't been in a hurry to do much of anything other than just normal chores, working out, and watching way too much tv in our recliners. Yes, we all have our own recliners. Unfortunately, I have been dealing with a horrible ear infection. Actually, it was probably a horrible ear infection last month, but thanks to a lifetime of ear infections, getting tubes put in multiple times, and ear drums being ruptured I have so much scar tissue that I can no longer feel when I am getting an ear infection. This time I think my ear drum ruptured before I finally noticed. I basically have had no ability to hear anything in my left ear and only about 5o% in my right, which was a lot better than last time when they both ruptured and I was completely deaf for over a month while they healed. I have about 75% hearing in my left ear now and about 90% in my right ear so in about another 2 weeks they should be back to normal. D has given me a hard time because I chose not to go to the doctor. I have seen the ENT so many times I know exactly what normal protocol is. The only thing they might have done was prescribe steroids, but half the time that doesn't help anyways. Truth be told if my hearing wasn't improving this week I would have scheduled the ENT to look at them and put tubes in next week. Happily, I am improving.

D had a weird rash on his wrist this week so he went to the doctor and found out that he has shingles. So far it isn't too bad and is only over one small area on his wrist so they gave him an anti viral medicine and told him to keep it covered. He just can't catch a break lately. It makes sense why he has been so crazy tired lately though.

T has been busy working on finishing his 40 nights of camping outside, which is basically sleeping on the deck each night. I opened the blinds this morning and had to laugh out loud! He had taken Axl's giant green bed outside to sleep in!!😂 Axl thought it was great fun! He has a nice 3in  memory foam camping pad, but apparently the dog bed is more comfortable. We joked about him lugging it along on his next campout. He has also finally decided on a project for his final scout badge. He is going to raise funds and install a basketball goal for the kids at church and yes he really wants one too! However, a lot of the kids will enjoy it, not just him.

A went on another date with the guy she has been seeing. She also went to the Passion Conference in Arlington when it was at Globe Life Field . Sadie Robertson, from Duck Dynasty, headlines it and it is for young adults 18-25. Like you CANNOT attend if you're not in that age group unless you are a youth leader. It was completely sold out and was over 3 days. She wasn't getting home until after 1am and turning around and leaving at 7:00 am the next day. She really enjoyed it, especially after she brought ear plugs. She said it was CRAZY loud. She has also been quite busy at work. She is the on call tech this weekend and with the incoming ice and snow predicted is really hoping she doesn't get an emergency she has to go in for.

I didn't even take ANY pictures this week, which is completely unlike me. I just had fun watching movies and playing games with my wonderful family! I hope everyone has a great week and stays warm with the crazy cold weather coming.

The Bunch Start Birthday Week

Yes, my Mom had my name misspelled on the cake.😂 It was still yummy so it was all good. T, A, and I all have our birthdays within a week and a half. Which means there is a crazy amount of sugar within those 10 days. We always like to make whoever's birthday it is feel special for the day. We watch what they want,do activities they like, eat what they pick, do their chores for them, etc. It not usually too expensive, but just a fun day where it's focused on them. The kids use to use their days to rule like little kings and queens, but have become a lot calmer in their "old" age since they get to do whatever they want most of the time anyways. We are a pretty close family and do a lot of things together all the time anyways, but on birthdays we still make sure we defer to the birthday boy/girl. My birthday is first and the kids do so many nice things for me all the time, but they put forth an extra effort on my birthday. This year A even woke up early to turn the cof...

The Bunch Visit Family

We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.  We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit. We had a great day!🥰 We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗 We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. She's been under the weather and we hadn't had a visit in a couple weeks so it was nice t...

The Bunch Have A Fantastic Week!

Pickleball is always fun! Now that the weather has been nicer, albeit super windy, we have been trying to do our weekly pickleball match. Basically, this week whoever was playing with the wind won! We still have fun playing even when it is windy. In fact, playing in the wind probably makes us have more fun. The wind gusts sometimes pick the ball up and make it do some funny things, like getting the ball and pushing it back onto your side so you lose a point or blowing it three courts over! Luckily, we are usually the only ones there so it doesn't matter if we play across 4 courts. Afterwards, we usually go get some ice cream/ frozen yogurt and just enjoy our outing.  T went camping this weekend with his troop. They worked on orienteering, which I was super happy about since T needs to work on that something fierce, but unfortunately the boys in troop aren't much better than him at orienteering and the first guy oriented them upside down on the first one so they basically was...
