The Bunch Celebrate T

Congratulations 🎉 🎉 👏 👏 We can't wait to see your dreams come true!!

This past weekend we went to T's highschool graduation!😢 I can't believe he is really done.....well almost. We actually have a couple of weeks left, but this was when he had his ceremony. It was held at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. We ran into so many wrecks on our way to downtown Ft Worth that it took us almost 2 hours to get there! D ended up taking us by his old childhood home. Apparently, he never realized it backed up to the college!😂 This was so much better than when L graduated. There was only 2 ceremonies in Texas for homeschoolers so we had almost a 100 there and the announcer went too fast and everyone kind of backed up. This time there was only 43 and each student got to have their moment until they were completely off the stage. It was about 45 seconds per graduate. We didn't invite anyone to attend with us because it was pretty far, at night, $15 a ticket, and not handicap friendly. We plan to have a reception for him later in May or early June which everyone will be invited to in order to celebrate with him. He plans to become a paramedic/firefighter.

T was by far the tallest one there. He looks like such a giant towering over every one. It didn't help the people next to him were crazy short!😂

That's my boy! So proud!❤️

Of course, he had to do his signature dance move off the stage.😂

It was a really nice venue. It was a very positive experience.

T and his sister. She even took off work to be there for her brother. It wasn't even a thought that she would not be there for him.🥰

He is such a grown up now.🥲

A has been working on knitting baby beanies. Noelle wasn't thrilled at being a model.😂

I really cannot believe my homeschooling journey is over. It was long, sometimes really long, in the moment, but it was also over in a moment. Here's to the new season of our lives.🍸

What an accomplishment!

The Bunch Start Birthday Week

Yes, my Mom had my name misspelled on the cake.😂 It was still yummy so it was all good. T, A, and I all have our birthdays within a week and a half. Which means there is a crazy amount of sugar within those 10 days. We always like to make whoever's birthday it is feel special for the day. We watch what they want,do activities they like, eat what they pick, do their chores for them, etc. It not usually too expensive, but just a fun day where it's focused on them. The kids use to use their days to rule like little kings and queens, but have become a lot calmer in their "old" age since they get to do whatever they want most of the time anyways. We are a pretty close family and do a lot of things together all the time anyways, but on birthdays we still make sure we defer to the birthday boy/girl. My birthday is first and the kids do so many nice things for me all the time, but they put forth an extra effort on my birthday. This year A even woke up early to turn the cof...

The Bunch Are Ready For Fall To Come Back

A and I at our favorite venue. We LOVE Bass Hall. I must admit that we are pretty tired of the crazy hot weather. We are ready to go back to the temps we had at the beginning of September. We played pickleball again this week, but D had required overtime to work so just T, A, and I went. We played singles and winner played the next person or A and I played together against T.  We ended up in full sun and the humidity was a killer. We are happy that the cold front is coming through this week and the mornings should be in the 60s or low 70s with low humidity. It should be super nice to play in. T won every game we played, but A and I together definitely made him work harder! We still had a lot fun. We decided against our usual post game Braums. We all were hot and really just wanted to get home to the a/c.  A won the lottery for tickets at Bass Hall to see the Life of Pi. We were up in the upper gallery, but that might have been beneficial for this show. The animal puppet...

The Bunch Have A Fun Week!

D had his awards banquet at a BBQ place we had been wanting to try for awhile. The food was really delicious and not greasy at all.  We have had a lot of expenses thrown at us lately. We bought our new appliances , which were well planned for. However, after that we had 2 cars to get repaired, one of which   was decided that it was too expensive and would make more sense to get a newer, stronger, younger one, I have to get some polyps removed, we owe uncle Sam money for the first time ever (thanks to the rule about the year a child turns 17 you lose the child tax credit even if the majority of the year they are 16), and lots of other little things. You know how it goes...when it rains it pours. Since we were unable to take the rv out because of the tow vehicle being unable to tow with a heavy load, more like us not wanting to risk trying, and since A had a day off work, we decided to go on an adventure to do something that none of us ever had done before. We started with...
