| These tractors are huge! |
Things have been a little crazy here. We have been working on finishing school, scheduling the things T needs to get done before he can start college in the fall, scheduling his graduation party, and trying to help my mom while my Dad is in the hospital. A and I also were able to find an hour to go to our local farmers market.
Our town has grown so much over the last couple of years! It feels more like your typical suburb now instead of the quaint little town we moved to 10 years ago. Our quiet little two lane highway has now become a bustling 4 lane road with medians. We have several commercial shopping areas going in, though I do actually really like having a grocery store in town! It's only 10 miles each way now to go get groceries instead of 30! We have an actual apartment complex now and multiple housing developments going in. I am NOT excited about all the new neighborhoods, but so far it hasn't really reached us yet. All the developments so far are closer to the interstate. In fact, so many people are moving here our little monthly farmers market has become a twice monthly market that runs on both Saturdays and Sundays. This past week A and I went to check it out and they were also having a petting zoo. Of course, you can normally find all the petting zoo animals on our street, but it was still fun to look at. A found this spicy sauce that she has been putting on EVERYTHING. We also found our favorite tamale vendor and a vendor that sold typical British snacks. We love trying new foods so we bought a sample box of all her goodies to try. We learned that we don't really like most British food.😂

| They had a cute highland cow! |
 |
| A was so traumatized by Pop Pop's longhorns she was even terrified of this cute mini cows tiny horns! She literally would not get any closer. |
 |
| This is a genius way to keep your chicken from getting out or getting stepped on by the larger animals. |

| There were several vendors. It was nice. |
We also all took turns going to visit Grandpa in the hospital. The results of his tests finally came back and unfortunately he has bone marrow cancer. They think it originated in his spleen. He has had several blood transfusions and platelets since he has been there, but his white blood cell count is still so low that he can't leave the hospital. In fact, instead of waiting to start his IV treatments after a couple of weeks in rehab, they decided to start it in the hospital, which the oncologist said is very rare. They don't even let his Chemo patients get treatment there. His cancer is not curable. They can treat it though, but not with Chemo for him, and if he responds well to the treatment he could live a fairly normal life....for a man in his mid eighties. He just received his first treatment last night and we probably won't know how he responded for a couple of days. His treatment would be once a week. My mom needs to have a hysterectomy ASAP so the kids and I are going to figure out how someone can be with her for 6 weeks afterwards. Between the six of us, we should be able to have someone with her everyday for 6 weeks. I guess it was fate that we decided to not get a new truck this year and travel. We have plenty of time to be where we are needed.
In an update, I am loving my new dishwasher and oven! Now to be fair, I usually use the toaster oven to bake in for several reasons, but mostly because it uses less electricity and doesn't make the house heat up too much. My stove top heats things up crazy fast! My other one must have been on the verge of going out because it took a lot longer to heat stuff up.
We also have another cat...kind of. A calls her DC for deck cat. 😂 As more people have moved out here, stray animals are becoming a big problem. Rural areas do NOT have animal services. Unless that animal is actively attacking people, no one is coming to save it. We have been feeding it to hopefully get her to come out and let us catch her so she can go get spayed. I don't want deck kitties!! She will hang out on the deck when we are inside but runs underneath when we come out. She doesn't bother the chickens so I am ok with her so far. The horse has been having some issues lately so we might have to put her down soon. She is pretty old though and considering she has laminitis I am shocked she has lived as long as she has. We will see. Maisy is still around. Her back legs are pretty weak now and she has a hard time walking for any length of time, but other than that she is really healthy. A did a urinalysis on her a couple weeks ago and was shocked everything came back normal! I already have informed everyone as the animals "leave" us, we will not be replacing them! We are a little overwhelmed as it is and D only wants the cats😂.

| The indoor cats are VERY interested in their outdoor counter part. |
