The Bunch Spend The Weekend Moving

While we are entertaining the possibility of a move in the near future, this weekend we helped C and H move from their adorable little house in town to a nice roomy lake house on an acre. They will have a lot more space, not only inside the house (it's a 4 bed/3bath), but also in terms of neighbors. They are on a cul de sac and quite a distance from town so street noise shouldn't be a problem. They should be able to just sort of relax and enjoy the quiet. It's a really nice house and I hope they like it.

It's a good size ranch house.

T tried out magnet fishing on the dock, but only found a broken metal stake.

We were able to get H's raised flower beds so she was happy.

We ended up pretty much taking off all the doors in order to fit the bigger stuff in.

T found a comfortable spot to wait for us.

D, T, and I took the camper and the dogs to Bonham State Park so we could be close to C in order to help move him. This was Axl's first time being left in the camper alone. We came back to check on him and have lunch about 4 hours after leaving him. Pulling in, we noticed that the camper was still intact from the outside and no smoke was visible so that was good. Axl happily greeted us at the door. I went to look for Maisy since I did not see her. She wasn't in our room. She wasn't on the bottom bunk or the couch. I was really starting to freak out. The trailer is tiny and we couldn't find her! Finally, D found her in the bathtub! She had even pulled the curtain closed so we couldn't see her.😂 Axl had ripped down most of the sun blocking devices I have on the windows and I can only assume started barking. Maisy is TERRIFIED of his barking so she must have tried to find somewhere safe to hide. I have no idea how she was able to climb the tub wall and close the curtain. She couldn't get back out herself because she is way too old so we figured she probably sat in the tub for the majority of the time we were gone. I felt bad she was so scared she did that, but was also impressed she climbed the high wall and didn't seriously injure herself. We closed the bathroom door when we left after lunch so she couldn't do that again. We didn't want to risk her getting hurt. Axl ripped all the window coverings down again, but I consider it a successful first time staying alone. He did no permanent damage to the inside of the trailer and neither dog was hurt.

The more pressing concern was that we knew a huge storm was coming that evening. Not only did we want to get C moved in before it started raining, we also had to keep an eye on the weather and if need be take someone back to stay with Axl. He goes crazy when it rains and he is DEFINITELY not ready to be left alone in my house much less my trailer when it rains. That is just asking for some kind of damage. We checked radar multiple times, but fortunately we were able to get C completely moved in before it came even close to raining. When the storm finally arrived later that night, he actually handled it better than when he is at home. I think he likes the small space. It makes him feel secure. All D did was hang his foot off the end of the bed and rub his head and Axl actually went to SLEEP while it was stormy! We may start spending all of the rainy nights in our RV if it means we actually get to sleep!

T cooked a hot dog in a milk carton. He basically wrapped the hot dog and bun in foil, put inside a milk carton, and set the carton on fire. It actually worked!

It was a nice spot, but way too hard to get in and out of the park. We won't go back.

It was a very nice lakeside spot, but that didn't make up for the hassle of trying to get in and out.

T played on the swings.

We enjoyed some downtime before getting up early the next day to help C move.

As an update about the property we were thinking about getting, the sellers decided to take it off the market until the market becomes more favorable to sellers again. We are still getting our current house ready to be on the market so if we find anything that we like we can move quickly on it. We're also fine staying put. It would really have to wow us and be an incredible deal for us to move.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Celebrate T's 16th Birthday

Three Birthdays in 10 days I cannot believe the baby of the family is 16! Actually, I can't believe they are all as old as they are. C will be 31 this year, A turns 21 tomorrow, L is 18, and little baby T is 16! It has been a wonderful ride and I was very blessed to be able to spend 24/7 with my kids while they were little. I have wonderful memories of all the times we shared. While the last year has been the hardest of our lives, it's been nice to see us all rally together and we have become even more appreciative of each other. T will just randomly stop to hug us and tell us he loves us.🥰 A is so very helpful and thoughtful and C is great about calling and keeping us updated on how they're doing way out in Bonham. I love my kids! We have decided to give pickleball a try as a family. Considering we've never even watched a game, our first lesson should be interesting!  He has gotten so good at guitar! My parents celebrate our birthdays every year by treating us to di...
