The Bunch Visit Family

We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.

We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit.

We had a great day!🥰

We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗

We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. She's been under the weather and we hadn't had a visit in a couple weeks so it was nice to see she was feeling well enough to visit with us for a bit. T dropped us off on his way to his class and picked us up after he was finished. It was a full circle moment. I didn't think we were at the age where our kids had to drive us around.😂

We also went to go visit my in laws, who we hadn't seen in months. We helped them get a few things done and then enjoyed a delicious lunch and had an enjoyable visit. D has more training again. He has had a lot of training this summer and it seems to always fall in the middle of his days off so it's not only hard for us to get things done at our house, but also hard to plan some fun family things and to go visit our families . T has been my helper in getting some things done so we can take it off D's plate. In fact, he helped me get the back porch painted this weekend. We only have 2 more areas to paint and then the whole house will have been painted....only 3 years after we started! I have a few touch ups to do where the tape pulled up the paint a little bit (and yes we did use painters tape), but I like it so much better. We repainted it a gray color and I like that so much better than white. The two things I have have hated since moving in is 1.) the carpet and 2.) the white paint. White just gets dirty and gross so easily, especially living in the country. I also hated the dining room chandelier, but we already  replaced that. It was too low and we hit our heads, plus it was crazy hard to clean. Now, just getting rid of the carpet is left. Hopefully, within the next year or so we can get that done.

Pop pop got some good news about his health. He is now down to taking just one pill a day, plus his diabetes medicine. Way to go!!

Gigi is doing well too. She didn't cough once while we were there. She cut up fresh veggies from the garden for lunch and Pop pop made some grilled chicken. With the baked beans and macaroni and cheese we brought, lunch really hit the spot!

🥰 My family ❤️

Axl has to have surgery this week to get his anal gland removed. Don't ask it's gross! This stray dog is starting to get expensive. At least A gets 60% off vet services or he would NOT be our dog. We're hoping July 4th goes ok. We have an entire closet of fireworks we need to shoot off. I think the plan is to load him up on meds, put his cone on him, and lock him in the kennel. He should not be able to get out with the cone on. It's only for 30 minutes and we'll turn the surround sound way up to hopefully drown out some of the noise. We will keep an eye on him with the camera while we are out shooting off the fireworks. If he looks distressed someone will come inside.

T helping paint the back porch.

T had a birthday party to go to at the lake. We had already been in line for 20 minutes when I took this picture. It took 40 minutes of waiting in line to drop him off AND when I went back to pick him up. Never go to the lake on a Saturday!!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Celebrate T's 16th Birthday

Three Birthdays in 10 days I cannot believe the baby of the family is 16! Actually, I can't believe they are all as old as they are. C will be 31 this year, A turns 21 tomorrow, L is 18, and little baby T is 16! It has been a wonderful ride and I was very blessed to be able to spend 24/7 with my kids while they were little. I have wonderful memories of all the times we shared. While the last year has been the hardest of our lives, it's been nice to see us all rally together and we have become even more appreciative of each other. T will just randomly stop to hug us and tell us he loves us.🥰 A is so very helpful and thoughtful and C is great about calling and keeping us updated on how they're doing way out in Bonham. I love my kids! We have decided to give pickleball a try as a family. Considering we've never even watched a game, our first lesson should be interesting!  He has gotten so good at guitar! My parents celebrate our birthdays every year by treating us to di...
